Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I don't think I ever asked his name."

 

The girl seems a little intimidated, instead deciding to walk around the perimeter of the palace.

 

"I meant the one that brought you there... or do you not know any of the three?"

The front of the palace is lavish and well decorated, but the sides show signs of extreme fortification and the occasional chimeric abomination chewing on bones.

 

The girl decides to avoid the chimeric abominations for her own safety, giving them a wide berth.

 

As she walks, she notices something strange about the path - it looks like it's made of the creatures in stasis.
Or... not in stasis, as one sniffs at her foot as she steps near it.

 

The girl leaps back with a slight scream, though she manages to calm down after she realises what it is. The creature feels an ice cold gust of wind blow by it.

 

The creature seems to consider crawling out of the pathway before shifting slightly and making the path look perfectly normal again.

A few of the feeding creatures are now staring at the girl, though.

 

The girl backs up warily, heart beating faster as fear begins to grip her.

 

There's nowhere to back off to once the feeding creatures stop feeding and circle her, one slowly starting to crawl towards her...

...until a colossal dragon's claw crushes it and flings the remains off into the darkness.
"Rulebreaking scum..." Xlentia grumbles.

 

The girl's already frozen in a block of ice, a scared look as she's curled up inside. The ice seems to have formed rather quickly, most likely a fear-triggered self defence mechanism.

 

Xlentia glances at the ice as the feeding chimera scatter. After they disappear in the dark, she turns to go back inside the palace.

 

"Don't know any of their names."

 

The ice is fairly clear, and the girl remains inside of it until it melts after the chimera leave.

 

"I guess asking their names wouldn't help. Is there anything else about them you could use, other than the dragoness?"

Nothing else seems to be paying any attention to her after the chimera scatter.

 

"Well.. I believe he is more of a wyvern then a dragon. Or was that Rema?"

 

The girl continues her walk around the perimeter, a lot more cautious now.

 

There’s nothing else around, hold a sleeping wyrm curled around a broken lightpole.

“Rema is a wyrm, you mean the wyvern she works with?”

 

The girl tentatively inspects the wyrm.

 

"No, the dragon who brought us to the other side of the island. He might be a wyvern."

 

Its scales are a dull gold hue, but its bones are visible against its underbelly. It looks to be starving, but the chimera she saw earlier presumably ended their chase at the pole.

“So there’s four dragons?”
