Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Yeah. Course it does."

 

“So, why’d you go up in the mountains, anyways?”

 

"To the dragons? To seek shelter for the storm I told you about."

"I did tell you about it, didn't I?"

 

The faerie just keeps struggling, survival instincts kicking in to try and force her out.

 

"Right... You told me about going to the mountains and the storm, I should've put 1 and 1 together."

Ruby reads its mind to find out why it followed her. After getting an answer, she releases her grip and the exhaustion spell.

 

The faerie just seemed to be curious and bored, though she quickly became terrified when she was caught.

The faerie collapses to the ground, unconscious, once she's released.

 

Ruby cloaks, then brings the fae back to her senses before leaving.

 

The faerie quickly leaves through the portal, scared of anything else happening.

 

"It's fine.. I've been talking a lot, not surprised if you lost track."

 

“Admittedly, it’s sort of a lot to take in.”

Avis chirps at her as she zips by, but doesn’t bother following.

 

"Need some time to think about it or do you want me to continue?"

 

The faerie is a little disoriented by Avis, though that doesn't slow her escape.

 

“No, go ahead. We’ve been apart for so long, I want to make the most of the time.”

Nobody else seems to even notice the fae.

 

Nobody else comes through the portal for a while, except for a girl in a black hooded jumper - hood covering her face - and jeans. She appears to be barefoot, strangely. She glances around somewhat nervously, before laughing to herself quietly.

 

"Alright. So I went to the other side of the island, thanks to the help of a dragon. Arriving there, we met the dragon's friend who lived there together with his wife."

 

Avis watches her quietly, curled up on a bookshelf.

"I'm going to need names to keep track of everyone. Which one's the dragon who led you to the mountains?"

 

The girl looks around the library, stepping inward before changing her mind and deciding to leave. She heads in seemingly no particular direction but away from the library.

 

The cryostasis room's propped open by ice and the palace doors to the outside are wide open, Xlentia's tail sitting in the middle of the hall.

 

The girl decides to exit the palace, looking around outside.

 

It's an endless sea of darkness, the occasional eye contrasting with the wall of blacks and dark greys.
There's no sun, or one universal direction to call up. There's a single path away from the palace, but there's a warning sign next to it saying not to stray off the path.
