He made his own system for data storage with all the items?? I don't think most of you guys can tell, but if he's done what I think he's done, I'm assuming he spent a lot of time on it, and the fact he made it himself? That's actually insane.

And I doubt that only the last update was meant to ground the road for 1.18, because apparently, something big is comming... Something that needs a rework of the data storage system.

 

"Store more complex data in items" may hint towards new identifications, but I'm probably crazy

Right before 1.17, there were a bunch of patches. So maybe this is a sign

Praise the JP for they are a great and merciful god! Major cudos for putting in so much work for Wynn though JP, it's amazing! :D

 

maybe that means specific items will be able to have more than just stats, i.e. item-specific abilities

 

And me and my c++ ass is over here thinking he's gone and implemented bit_vectors or something instead of using 16/32 bits to store numbers that will never need that much space, but I'm not sure how possible that is given that this version of MC is written in Java
