Leren's dead. Again. Hopefully for sure this time.

The potion is closing your wounds quickly enough, but a massive amount of sickly orange poison is spread around the field of battle. At least one of the death squad members accidentally ingested some, and is dying a horrible death. The rest have fled.

She turns her head back, slightly irritated at the flourish you interrupted.
"Some noble who we're about to kill. Client doesn't want 'im alive. See yeh."

The assassin's passed out by the wall.

 

I can confirm is Leren's dead (kinda maybe hopefully).
Sooooo.. what happened to his spirit? >.>

 

I approach him and shoot fire at his head to make sure his dead.
I start looting all the bodies. Also what's the body count?

 

If HMTN responds positively that I can see Leren's soul floating away, I'mma ask this.
"Isn't he already dead?"

 

Either way I respond with "That's what I thought last time"

In that case I say something similar like "I'm not taking any chances this time" that pretty much gets the same result

You don't. Not a hint of a soul comes out of what was clearly(?) a living(?) human(?) 30 seconds ago.

Five, six plus Leren. Somewhere around 4 people fell in the fighting, the fifth being the guy dying of poison. 7 escaped.

You back up somewhat warily, and in about 10 or so seconds they're out of sight.

 

Just follow blue around staying pretty silent.

 

I start to loot all of them

 

“Ok now where was this door.” I wander around until I find the door.

 

"The demon has returned. The storm has awoken. Woe to all who interfere in their clash."

You turn around, back to the 3 doors.
To the left, the one you went down, with trap and pressure plates. To the right, 2 unopened. The vault's probably past one of those.

The assassin is still slumped down on the wall. He isn't moving, and might just be unconscious.

 

I'll put the iron rod and death squad uniform in the bag of holding. Then I'll try to find an inn

Actually I have a bag of holding so I'll also put the 2 longbows in

 

"Han... Are you sure you're okay?"

Run after you while whispering to ny cat, which I'm holding.

 

I try the middle door.

 

The potion seller pokes his head out of his shop.
Oh.. You're... you did it? That's a lot of poison..."

As for inns, there's one right across the street from him. The signage is either in weird runes or a language you don't know, and isn't very loud.

"Nya..? Oh, I'm (yawn) absolutely purrfect.."
The power of a catnap surpasses even death.

It opens to a cramped storage closet, you think? Maid and butler supplies, as well as a near-empty bookshelf on the far side.

 

I go in and ask how much is a room

 

"Okay..."
*pets Han*

I search around and overturn crates just to make sure it’s not there.
