“Oh. Well... try not to sleep too long. I could always try breaking you out of deep sleep, but you might just wake up.”

 

"Yeah. Sleeping too long just makes me lazy."

 

"I don't know. I hope not." Artemis says, sounding concerned.

 

"Are they not telling you how he's doing?"

"I'm sure your wife would also wake you up, if you're getting close to your wedding day."

 

"It's hard to tell how he is. This virus is completely new." Artemis says.

 

"That's fair."

 

"Maybe it was from the scary weapon people?"

"We tend to... check in and make sure we're getting what we want."

 

"Humans are our best guess." Artemis sighs.

 

"What do you mean by that? Is it a women thing?"

 

“Kinda, yeah.”

“Is it a magic virus?”

 

"Care to explain? Or would you rather keep it to yourself?"

 

"A nullmagic virus." Artemis nods.

 

"I don't think anyone really can explain it."

"Aren't shadows mostly magic?"

 

Artemis nods, looking worried.

 

Sgavrinn rests his head on her lap, unsure of what else to do.

 

Artemis pets Sgavrinn a bit more, sighing again.

 

"Did Atavul do that to you, or did it happen afterwards?"

 

"Afterwards. There was a battle with the humans." Artemis says.

 

"Only a woman understand, I suppose?"
