Aberration Apocalypse (d&d 5e Campaign) 6/6 Players

You hear a deep voice:
"Excuse me, but I am talking to another citizen at the moment. We should be done in a few minutes though."

 

"What do you want to know?"

 

Bree: "Haha, I don't know?"
Larath conjures a flame and makes it dance across her fingers.
Larath: "Why were you so interested in ancient texts?"

 

"Okay have fun!"

 

Do you just wait there?

 

"Wouldn't you be if you could ready any language?"

 

Larath: "Can you indeed? That's cool. I can only read Common, Infernal, Deep Speech and Elvish."

 

"Well I can only speak common, elvish, celestial and gnomish. But I can read everything"

 

Larath: "Wow."
Bree: "Wait wait, I just got the best idead! Larath, come with me for a minute."
She grabs Larath and takes her through a door (presumably into a bedroom), bringing her instrument with her.

It looks like this.

 

"Are you going to play me a song?"

 

Bree: "You'll see."
You can hear Bree whispering and simultaneously playing relaxing notes on her instrument.

Lewis tries to eavesdrop

You hear Bree whispering about how Lewis is a demon, and stuff like that, all while playing slowly.

After a minute, you hear Larath go:
"I don't believe that."
Bree: "Dammit! It didn't work. It was going to be such a good prank too!"

They both come out again.

 

I pretend like I didn't hear anything
"Oh what were you planning to do?"

 

Bree: "I was trying to make Larath afraid of your owl."

 

"I can assure you he's no demon"

 

Larath: "I figured as much."
They don't seem especially surprised you had heard.

 

"He is a celestial though"

 

Yeah

 

Larath: "Cool!"

Bree: "We should probably go out and get some information, you coming Larath?"
Larath: "Sure. Oh, and Favos, try not to look at everything on the table. Help yourself to the bookshelves if you like though."

They get their stuff on and exit through the secret door.

After a few minutes, the door opens and a dwarf woman comes out and goes down the stairs.
