Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Onyx purrs, enjoying being pet. Though she still seems discomforted.

 

Ihra pats Onyx on the head one more time before leaving, opening a portal into what seems to be a glacial warzone.

 

Onyx looks through, though doesn't consider following.

 

"She has a backstory. I won't go into much detail."

 

The portal closes as a stray explosion nearly sprays Onyx with ice shards.

"Oh? Well, you've got me curious now."

 

"Should I tell you? I'm not sure."

 

"At least tell me a bit, you didn't even tell me where she lives."

 

Onyx disappears quickly, scared.

 

"She was a princess. So.. that probably explains about enough."

 

"Was, huh? Hopefully you're used to her bossing you around by now. If not, get used to it."

Onyx feels something move a bit in her fur after she stops.

 

Onyx scratches at it, annoyed.

 

A barely visible fae flies off, looking equally annoyed.

 

Onyx hisses at the faerie out of fear.

 

"Cause she's a princess? Heh, royalty, am I right?"

 

She ignores her, flying off.

“Royalty suck. Always about them.”

 

"Speaking from experience?"

 

Onyx decides to follow the faerie out of her room.

 

They stay near the ceiling, before looking around a bit. After a moment, they touch the wall and their body crumbles to dust, some of which falls on Onyx's nose.

"I've served a few and killed a few, so yeah."

 

"Really? Huh, didn't expect that."

"Was that in this world or in the awake one?"

 

"The real world, of course. I don't think there's really royalty here... or if there are, I've never met any."
