With being down you have death saves everytime you have a turn. You roll a d20, 10 or more is a success, 3 successes stabilizes you and makes you awake with 1hp in 1d4 hrs(if you take dmg back to saves). 3 fails kill you, nat 20 is instant up with 1hp, nat 1 is 2 fails. Getting hit normally counts as one fail and a crit is 2 fails. The successes/fails reset when you stabilize.

Then we can also try and stabilize you through spells or a dc10 medicine check

 

If someone heals you, you're also imstantly stablized, right? :3
