Lost A Lot Of My Stuff Because I Went Afk

I'm not sure how to start this or word this; to most people, this will look like a rant, which it really is, but im trying to address an issue

long story short I went to Olux to try and grind for a Jera... then i had to go do something so i just went afk

died in the swamp most likely; no big deal.

respawned in olux. ok.

then for some reason. somehow. i kept dying. over and over again. until it got to the point where i started losing gear

basically what im trying to say is that this really shouldnt have been possible... if you die, the area u spawn in should be safe. if someone goes afk they shouldnt be at the risk of loosing their entire inventory. the gear i had on me was my loot bonus set, so thank god it wasnt my main set. so it be nice if something like this could be fixed? i really dont think its okay if the area u die and spawn in has monsters that can kill you.

thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this; it would be nice if i got some kind of staff to reply, anything would help really. if ur gonna say something like "you shouldnt have gone afk" or something, yeah, i know, but still, what happened shouldnt have happened imo.

 

1. Wynn has a strict no refund policy
2. It is possible that someone lured mobs towards your avatar and killed you and took your items. For future reference do /class when going afk. Also, AFKing in Olux is like AFKing on the Troms Bridge or even Gelibord. Olux is not the safest of towns, so if anything it is more likely that a mob just wandered in and killed you.

 

Cities have guards around them that kill most of the mobs that try to enter, but they sometimes let mobs slip through. You can AFK safely by typing /class and leaving your game on the class screen.

 

1, if youre gonna afk do /class
2, olux isnt that safe
3, PMI
4, no refund policy

 

tbh tho
i do think its a fair point that cities should be safe
at least around respawn points, hostile mobs shouldnt be able to get into those areas or it could kick you to lobby if your afk
not everybody knows to /class when afking because normally you wouldnt need to and they usually wouldnt know until they end up losing all their items like this
so yea
make cities safe

 

As others have said before, do either /class or /lobby before going AFK

Typically MMOs are better about keeping safe zones safe. Wynn is the exception. Safety isn't guaranteed in anywhere save for loading areas like sea skipper and /class box.

Kinda triggers me when he didn't ask for his items back AND reporting the issue hope it can be fixed yet some people will always comment "Wynncraft has no refund policy"

 

Threads like this periodically appear from time to time, and this has kinda become the textbook answer, isn't it? It's easy to assume that the person is asking for a refund even before clicking on the thread, even though they're not.

 

You don't have to assume him if you read his case carefully.But there is your reason. Its ok.

Anyway, people keep mentioning this issue, meaning there is a portion of people think cities are meant to be safe.

“It is a feature, not a glitch.” A joke memeing about rainbow6 game mechanics bugs.

So,idk but I don't think there is a clear answer of “are cities meant to be safe?”.There are guards at the entrence stopping mobs from entering cities,there should be no hostile mob spawning inside the city. These kind of settings make me really hard not to think the cities are safe.

To solve this,we should first seperate about the idea of:
1. Cities are MEANT to be safe,but it is not safe currently.
Vs
2. cities are NOT safe and was meant to be not safe the whole time.

If it is true about the first one but not the latter one,fix it immediately.

If not, make a clear mindset to all players in game we shouldn't afk in cities. i.e in game tutorial. Not after they post a thread about this.

The spawn point for olux should be the bank CUZITS THE SAFEST IN OLUX

 

Problem is a GM who will go unnamed did a...shall we say, poor job, with regions. This is what leads to Werewolves and Kappas in Gelibord or Lexdale, and it leads to Swamp Ogres roaming around Olux. I've been trying to find and fix them these past few updates, without much luck.
