Warrior/Knight One For Warchief - A Small Trial Against Melee

    Current melee builds are abusive.

    All I can see from the game is just

    - Alkatraz melee
    - Compiler melee
    - Eidolon melee
    - Ignition/Apocalypse melee
    - Flameshot Hilt melee
    - Grimtrap melee
    - Taurus Stinger
    - Taurus Rainmaker

    Excluding the builds using Taurus, most melee builds might look like this, with some small changes.

    Because most people are addicted with 'high damage', and so many other items (which is made for melee) are ditched.


    The other reason why I call it 'abusive'..



    Most melee builds might work like this.
    Drink potions, drink potions, and drink MORE potions.

    Reason, of course, because it's close combat.
    Against bosses, you might get hard hits, and you might need potions.
    Anyone can use potions (or melee builds lol), however, it's just TOO ABUSIVE.

    To solve this problem is just dodging, but again, many people are addicted on damage. (or they'll just gain tankness, which is just other kinds of 'abusive' build. 'Apocalypse melee', you know)



    I tried to solve both of problem.
    (Remember, I 'tried', might not worked)
    A melee build that can actually run, and using the other ditched melee items.

    I know it could be bad compared to the other abusive melee builds.
    But whatever, you choose.


    p.s. True purpose of making that is to use 'Warchief'. You know, even it is buffed, everyone (ironically including me) is just shouting 'ew warchief'. As the new item 'One for All' comes out, I thought I could do something with using them together..

    p.s.2 : It doesn't mean I don't give any respect on melee, since they are one of the builds. Just pointing out the fact 'abusive'.

    If it was an usual day, I might get that as a funny joke (lol warchief) but this is not right moment to say that.

    Unless you can one shot the boss, or kill him in a few hits most likely you will need an attack speed increase or a different "slappy" tool for increasing damage

    If you use a very slow/super slow weapon, you may deal a high amount of damage per hit... and do that slowly... and have the boss regen... and then consider why are you still fighting
    If you use a very fast/super fast weapon then you may not have as much problem with attack speed tier but most of them also have lower base damages, meaning you need very high percentages on melee and elementals

    When one builds a very slow weapon into a very fast weapon, they just become glassier and need a way to survive, and because relying on a mage to heal you can be troublesome they just bring potions.
    When one builds a very fast weapon into a high damage weapon then the case is the same.

    Unless we manage to find a way to make any melee centered weapon be able to be built for lack of potion usage, or dodging, the builds will just continue to be the same.

    Also yes, you can dodge, but you can also (and should) get in close combat as warrior/assassin

    If the boss is ranged, the only thing you could dodge consistently is boss spells
    If the boss is melee, then you are obviously disadvantaged if you are warrior/assassin, and the job is way easier for mages/archers, who obviously have ranged melee.

    It’s really just potions that are abusive. In most games you have a timer for the potion to take affect or you’re immobile or you can only carry a few of them at a time. But in Wynncraft it just takes one click to get the effect, you can still run around, and you can have an inventory full of them minus a few slots.
    And this isn’t even mentioning skill point potions...

    If they added at least one of those features then it would force melee builds to rely on other ids just as lifesteal, which would act as a balance towards attack speed since lifesteal has a greater chance of proccing on slower attack speeds. (There’s still apoc and all, but hey at least it would sort out alkatraz :-/ )
