I'm a bit confused... are you switching to walking instead of driving and then giving an explanation or is the entire text storytelling, and "goes through" means driving? I'll make up continuations based on both scenarios, I guess:

1. He thinks of why this could be but doesn't get to any proper conclusions. It might be rush hour, or maybe some celebrity is visiting around here, somewhere, he thinks. After a few minutes of monotonous walking, he arrives at his office building.
2. After sitting through the barely moving traffic for a while he decides to park his car nearby and walk the rest of the way. He buys a ticket on his phone while stepping out of his car and hurriedly makes his way to the office building. According to the clock on his phone he's already several minutes late.

Having entered the towering cloudbuster he routinely makes his way to the lift and takes it to the 8th floor. He then walks to his small office, staying short-worded and dry when greeted by his co-workers, throws his laptop on his desk and opens the company's latest project.

 

Ryan grew up in Ireland and is determined to make his way out of poverty. He's very family-oriented and professional and doesn't have much time for anything that he thinks isn't going to make the family money, making him come across to many as unempathetic and selfish but it's ultimately because he cares for them and their future.
Emily struggles to come to terms with her daughters growing up and is instinctively somewhat overprotective of them, though she ultimately sees reason in most cases. She maintains an extensive social circle and frequently goes out with friends, though her poverty is a source of embarrassment and she wouldn't dream of taking them home. She often talks extensively of them to Ryan, who nods along, not having the heart to tell her he's not interested.

Very tropey, but they're the parents so it's part for the course, makes them a lot easier to write for.

 

You know, maybe arch being the host was kinda unfortunate.

I say we should have a democratic election between Aquilla and Arch to be the main host.

 

Maybe Arch can give Aquilla the story outline so they can fill in when the other is away.

 

I don't even understand how this co-hosting thing they're doing works

 

I think Arch is using Aquila's ideas and characters. :/
