Also you can swap out gold hydro brace for dia hydro if your rolls are good enough, or swap out black catalysts with magical loops if you're fine with losing some mana regen

Works great with Nirvana as well

It's still supposed to be useful. Nerf doesn't mean "completely destroy any possibility of anyone using this thing again" (AKA Cancer -> Necrosis). This nerf was necessary, but not dramatic is all.

if you're trying to say that hive bow is now better than spring, maybe you should consider the fact that the build doesn't work, you even said it yourself

in the glass part, you could swap a magical loop for intensity for spring. hive bow doesn't have access to that and will fall behind.

in the defensive part, that's a terrible way to build spring.
normally, rainbow uses all 5 skill points, but with spring you lose a large amount of dexterity, and as a result, a large amount of damage.
try non rainbow builds for this non rainbow weapon.

 

okay well i dont build defensive spring, theres no point in doing that, either way youre missing the point, even with the intensity spring only does maybe 100 more damage than hive bow, as opposed to the almost 3k it did previously

i do agree that spring needed a nerf, however what they gave it completely killed the bow

 

Have you forgotten about the fact that Gaea-Hewn boots exists? Hive Bow can’t use it, while Spring can be used with it in some very powerful builds such as the one I put in my original post. Not to mention Spring has more mana (allowing you to spam harder or build for more dmg), int boost, and a nice little health regen stat on top of that.

When comparing items, don’t always throw them into the same build. It’s not the most accurate way to do so. If you’re comparing Stratiformis and Gale’s Force, for example, you’d want to compensate for Strati’s health loss while you don’t have to for Gale’s.
