Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Eve types in 'N12' and waits for something to happen. She keeps an eye on her environment, wary.

 

Her surroundings become a blur before the door opens a split second later to a floor filled with offices, various creatures working at computers as far as the eye can see (down the hall).
"N12 - Biohazard Regulation Offices" The elevator display reads.

 

Eve steps out of the elevator fearlessly, deciding to walk over to one of the computers and look at what's on the monitor; disregarding it's owner.

 

The person she looks onto is a fae, using toothpicks to hammer away at two keyboards at once as they seem to write a message of sorts and sift through a database that isn't labelled.

"Yes, the radioactivity has been proven safe for anything larger than a fly. If you'd stop worrying about every little thing, I'd actually let you move in with me. Believe it or not, it's actually nice to live in a simulated environment. Everyone thrives, mind you. I don't know where you got the crazy idea that we all have to live in the same place as everyone else - I don't miss home before the war because I live there, I told you this last week.

Whatever. I'll send over another chunk of money tomorrow. Try not to blow it all in two weeks this time, okay?

Eve smiles, looking at the faerie, amused by how she's getting by.

 

"I'm not blind, you know." She says bluntly.

 

Eve just smiles more, letting out an "Aww". Despite this, she looms over the faerie almost menacingly.

 

The fae's wings transform into tiny guns of some sort as she turns around.
"Easy, now." She snaps.

 

Eve doesn't seem intimidated at all, her pupils seeming to change in size as her vision zooms in on the guns so she can get a better look.

 

They seem to be tiny cannons with ammo that corrupts her scan, as well as having traces of nullmagic.
"Please leave me alone, miss."

 

Eve looks offended, before walking off. Able to control it, Eve prevents herself from looking red with embarrassment.

Eve looks for a friendlier face to look over the shoulder of.

 

What looks to be a humanoid deer seems to have been watching Eve, gesturing for her to come over.

 

Eve walks over almost obediently, offering a friendly smile as she approaches.

 

“She’s always like that, don’t worry.” They say, their voice a bit deep. “Don’t see many othersouls around here.”

 

Eve thinks for a moment, deciding what to say.

"Othersouls?" Eve asks, deciding not to pry into the subject of the faerie, "I haven't heard that term before."

 

“Just a term for those not of this reality. I see yours discourages tech to some degree. Always wanted to try my hand at magic.”

 

"We do not discourage it, but we do keep ourselves reminded of the importance of magic in our reality." Eve says.

Eve holds her hand out, and it begins to glow red before a fireball appears above it. The fireball freezes into ice, which hardens into rock before being blown away by a gust of wind, turning to dust.

 

“You must be top-of-the-line over there.”

 

"I was created as a powerful war machine to assist my side should another inter-dimensional war break out. However, due to the low likelihood of such large-scale wars occurring, I have also been used for independent missions," Eve explains, "I'm also allowed mostly roam freely, which is sort of why I'm here. I also really like drawing, everyone says I'm a really good artist, but I always feel like I need to improve."
