The house guests compete in a Head of Household competition against each other. The winner of the competition becomes the Head of Household. The Head of Household nominates two other house guests for eviction from the household. The Head of Household, the two nominees, and up to 3 randomly selected house guests then compete in a Power of Veto competition. The winner of this competition receives the Golden Power of Veto. The winning house guest may choose to use this power to save one of the two nominees from eviction (including themselves if they are a nominee), or just throw the power away. If they save one of the nominees, the Head of Household must choose another house guest to replace them. An Eviction Ceremony is held where all the remaining house guests (except for the Head of Household and the two nominees) must vote for who of the two nominees they want to leave. All votes are public and the decision is final. The nominee with the most vote will leave the household (in case of a tie vote, the Head of Household chooses who leaves). This process repeats until there are 2 house guests left, in which case a jury consisting of previously evicted house guests will decide who the ultimate winner is.

The competitions themselves are text-based so you can play through the forums. I also tried to design them with arbitrary time limits so people in multiple time zones could play.

I took a risk by introducing a new idea for a game (which, in itself is a copy of a long running TV show (look up Big Brother House)). I just wanted to try something fun and new you know; have my forum buddies (I can call you guys that right?) compete in a dramatic and possible intense game show. I wanted to, you know...be a Host.

I can second that, asides from the Wynn stuff. Although I don't really know if this would interest me, depending on what kind of challenges.

Examples include:

Spoiler: Solid Guess

Every round, the host is thinking of a number in a set parameter. Each house guests takes a guess at the number. Once they all reveal their guesses, they must decide to ‘stay’ and play for a point and risk elimination if they are the furthest from the correct answer or to ‘fold’ and move on to the next round. The first House guest to earn 3 points or the last House guest remaining will win the Golden Power of Veto.

Spoiler: Majority Rules

The houseguests will answer questions about other houseguests. Once everyone has answered, everyone who voted with the minority is eliminated. Ex: “ Is Josh is an awesome dude?” 6 houseguests vote yes, 4 vote no. The 4 houseguests that voted no are eliminated since they are the minority. When there are (inevitable) 2 house guests left, the previously eliminated houseguests will vote for who of the 2 remaining houseguests wins Head of Household (if there is a tie, the Head of Household is randomly chosen).

Spoiler: Game of Trust

Each houseguest will compete against each other in a round robin style tournament against each other. In each match up, house guests are given a choice of depositing a coin into a machine. If both houseguests deposit a coin, both houseguests receive 2 coins back. If only one houseguest deposits a coin but the other doesn’t, the houseguest that didn’t deposit the coin gets 3 coins back while the houseguest that deposited the coin loses 1. If both houseguests decide not to deposit a coin, nether earns a coin. This goes for 10 rounds after which the houseguest with the most coins wins the match. The houseguest with most wins after the tournament is over wins the Power of Veto.

 

In solid guess, if we guess from 1-100, everyone will pick either 49, 50, or 51 for a decent chance.

True, but you never know what the other players will submit. If you are the median, then yes you have no reason to fold, but what's stopping the outlier from being the closest number?

Glad to hear. That challenge is meant to make the player ask "What would everyone else pick?" instead of "What do I think the answer is?".

Game of Trust isn't a new concept so their are tons of guides online for how to best play your opponent.

Actually, most of the guides just say to trust your opponent and hope they don't screw you over.

 

Is everyone paired with everyone else only once? :/
