Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"You haven't done anything yet. I doubt you'll disrupt much with how nice you've been!" Gaia says happily.

 

"Just need a wielder... until then, my strength is a big problem. See, if I, like slapped the ground to break a fall or something, I'd probably knock it out of orbit."

 

"Well, Earth Guardians were made to be strong. Perhaps one of them will suffice as a wielder?" Gaia suggests positively.

 

"Actually... originally, I heard of a Terra. I thought they might be fitting, until I heard some rumors that those guardians were sealed away for... unknown and possibly less honorable reasons than to honorably preserve them."

 

Gaia goes silent.

"You are not to look for Terra. Or any of the other guardians." Gaia says, tone suddenly dead serious.

 

"Okay, done." Fable shrugs. "I didn't have much luck rolling the dice and picking an Earth Guardian, though."

 

"Where?"

 

"I'm sure you'll find one that isn't Terra easily enough." Gaia says, serious.

 

"A place between worlds, known as The Void."

"Well, yeah, they come if I lightly tap the ground. They're not happy about it, but they come."

 

"Never heard of it. Is it important?"

 

"I wouldn't advise you do that anymore." Gaia says, serious.

 

"And this is how all my conversations with gods always end up." Fable sighs. "I can't yell, I can't use telepathy, what else am I supposed to do?"

"I mean, probably? There's a goddess living there, so I'd assume so."

 

"Speak." Gaia says.

 

"And if there's nobody around?"

 

"Then seek them out." Gaia says, sounding impatient.

 

Fable pauses with a sigh.
"I'm sorry I tried to reach out to you. I respect your requests, but I did my best to save a life. I can keep stating that I won't do what you dislike to the best of my abilities, but if you don't provide me a reliable alternative, I can't change what I am to satisfy you - so I'll leave. I pray I never find myself in the hands of your enemies." She says, giving up.

 

Gaia sighs.

"What do you know of Terra and the others?" Gaia asks, tone changing to a kinder one.

 

"I know they're, like, primal or ancient guardians that've been hidden and sealed away, that Terra is an earth guardian probably, and Aer is the air guardian, but I think those were the names. I also know there's tons of books on them, but I couldn't read them because the library would explode."

 

"And how does one get there?"

 

"There's a portal to the Void from many worlds, you may want to inquire about it once you wake."
