Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Do you know anyone that can see spirits?"

 

"Uhm, I think death guardians can see them." The witch says innocently.

 

"Okay, thanks. I'll look for one, then." Fable says, heading towards the door and hoping the air guardian follows.


Emerald enters the shadow realm, then looks up.
"Tenebrae, I wanted to thank you for putting down Atavul once... and let you know that he's since been reborn again. We've managed to press the front lines a bit in his absence, but he's made it clear that he thinks there's unfinished business between him, you, and Mortius. Don't give him another fight." She says to nobody in particular before leaving.

 

The air guardian follows, though the rain is still pouring outside.

Despite not receiving a response, Emerald feels heard.

 

Fable doesn't seem to mind it, looking for anyone else out walking around.

 

Most non-water guardians seem to have cleared out from the streets, a nearby pub bustling with activity. The clouds in the sky swirl past each other in a grey blanket, sparks of light occasionally flashing as thunder claps, rainwater creating tiny rivers along paths and carrying loose plant matter with it.

 

Fable approaches the nearest water guardian.
"Pardon me, but do you know where a death guardian is?"

 

"I think you can find some down in the lowlands." The water guardian says happily, enjoying the rain.

 

"Anywhere in particular?" Fable asks.

 

"There's a forest on the western side, you're bound to find some there." The water guardian says.

 

"I see. She's trained him well then."

 

"Alright, thanks. Is there any way to call out to them? I'm not big on knocking on doors."

"She?"

 

"They're likely to confront you if you enter their territory. You don't look human though, so you probably won't get hurt." The water guardian says happily.

 

"His owner."

 

Fable nods.
"So, wander around until I wind up trespassing. Seems rude, but... I guess that's better than the alternative. Thanks." Fable says, before hesitating.
"Uh, which way's west?"

"Ah, a dragon with a rider... she must be very powerful to tame such a creature."

 

The water guardian points (what can be assumed) westward.

 

Fable nods.
"Again, thanks." She says, going off in the direction pointed out to her.

 

The air guardian follows, and Fable soon finds a path leading out of town and down the mountain. However, it's rather steep, made more dangerous by the rain. A large forest sprawls out from the base of the mountain, trees rustling as the water disturbs their leaves.

 

Fable just treks down the slope anyways, never losing her balance but obviously not in a controlled descent.

 

The air guardian glides down after Fable. Upon reaching the bottom of the mountain, Fable finds shelter under the trees; little water able to seep through.
