Aberration Apocalypse (d&d 5e Campaign) 6/6 Players

Ben: "Oh no! Check this out."
He moves his fingers up and down the side of the painting until stopping halfway down.
He seems to move something and suddenly the painting opens like a door.
Brad: "After you."

 

"Woah" I step through

 

There's a spiral wood staircase leading down into darkness.

 

Half elfs have dank vison I go down

 

Oh yes- D A N K V I S I O N
The staircase ends abruptly, leading out into a corridor filled with jars and vials of strange liquids and materials. Stains coat every surface almost and here and there are a few rats.
Think like the Olux Plague doctor passageway.

 

"Looks like you have a few pets"

 

Ben: "They like to hang out here."
There's this big wooden archway leading into a stone room with wooden tables. Various magnifying glasses and other instruments are scattered here and there. At the far wall is a locked iron cabinet.

 

"Then show me what you've made"

 

Brad: "It's in the safe."
He goes to the safe and unlocks it using another key, then takes a pair of tongs and pulls out a large glass jar filled with something molten-looking.

 

"What does it do"

 

Ben: "We don't know. That's the point!"

 

Having proficiency with alchemy supplies do I know how to learn what it does?

 

You'd have to examine it carefully. Also probably put some on the floor.

 

"Can you let me examine it?"

 

Brad: "Sure. Just, don't touch it with yer bare hands. It burns."
He hands you the tongs.

 

I proceed to examine the potion

 

It looks almost like liquid lava, but a deep shade of red.

 

I say to brad and ben "Is there any chance you have a pearl?"

As you are eating your food, you notice a sudden flash of gold in front of you and a dwarf with a "healthy plated beard" and slightly tanned skin; wearing chainmail, white clothes and a backpack with a shield and battleaxe.
His eyes are a shiny gold color and you notice a strange aura around him, his hair seems to wave about independently.
On his right hand are the claw-like accessories that Khul-Tha and the others had.

You feel how you are pulled into a golden void, and have a hard time breathing. Then just as suddenly, you come out of the void.
You are on a wooden walkway on a cold snowy island, looking straight at a female half-elf eating food.
