Aberration Apocalypse (d&d 5e Campaign) 6/6 Players

Ben: "Alchemy"

 

"Really? I happen to know a bit of alchemy myself"

 

Brad: "We try all sorts of whacky experiments in our shack! Just mix whatever we find."

 

"That sounds fun"

 

Ben: "It is! Aaalthough we might have been responsible for the month-long fish drought a while back."

 

"What else have you made?"

 

Brad: "You know... Some accidental explosions, flooding the house for a couple hours, and so on."
Ben: "But we actually managed to make something that didn't turn out bad. It's beautiful!"

 

"Big axe."

 

"And what's that?"

 

Brad: "Come with us and you'll see."

Dwarf: "Ah yes, Big axe! We have a couple. Folla me if ya please, they're daun ere."
He leads you down a stone staircase into a room filled with weapons.
You almost immediately spot a rack of 'Big axe', where three abnormally large axes are hanging.

 

"Sure"

 

"What do they do?"

 

They leave the table, wave goodbye to the fat bartender and show you to their house.
It's basically a shack with boarded up windows and a barred door.
Ben pulls out a large key and unlocks the door, removing the bar.

 

"Why's it barred up?"

 

Dwarf: "This is the only magic axe we ave."
He pulls a large, cruel-looking axe from the rack.
Its heavy wooden haft has dwarvish text, inlaid with gold on it.
The blade is of a dark-silver color and has runes of power etched into it.
"It's the Axe of the Hunter. You have easier to hit and it's stronger than regular axes. You can also imprint an enemy and make it deal more damage to them."
(Basically it has +1 on atk and dmg rolls, you can make someone your Sworn Enemy when making a successful melee attack, that effect can be dismissed as a bonus action.)

Ben: "Why, we don want anyone sneakin onto our property, do we?"

Well, they don't seem very careful with what they're doing.
They don't seem to intend to hurt you. (Intentionally)

 

"You have a good point" I enter the building

 

The immediate sight is a mess. Everything jumbled up, chairs and tables overturned. There's a staircase leading up.
The bruddahs show you to a painting of a boat in the ocean.
Brad: "This is where we do our experiments."
He motions to the painting.
