That's because I have no idea what it does and neither does anyone that has check to see what it does

You are in the middle of a large city. The nearest farm is at least an hour away.

It opens effortlessly, and from it spills forth a light.. and.. a voice?
"Diagnosis. Poison: Orange Khymin. Estimated remaining lifespan: 1m:3d:13h:42mn. Estimated lifespan only possible with Godsblood potion, of which one sample exists within 100 feet. Without potion: 1m34s. Cure location: Academy of the Arcane, Grand Arcana. Next use available in 1 week."
With that, it shuts down.

There's nothing more fun than designing something and then actually being able to use it while the holder still doesn't know exactly what it is.
No, it's not what you just thought of either.

Noted and fixed.

"Oh. Was a giant elemental here before we blew it up. This chunk of the city's wrecked, but the rest's fine."

 

"How much for the godsblood potion? I'll survive a minute without it."

I have to agree at least now I have a slight idea of what it does after almost a year of having it (literally I got it on September 4th)

For a while now I've been thinking its the invasion cradle seeing as it has no information

A single line resurfaces itself in my mind.
*frowns harder*
I shake my head and try not to let it bother me. I wipe the frown off my face and back into a smile. Look around for the brightest things in the shop.

In hindsight, the slower pace is probably helping with my lack of burnout, because I'm not usually someone who can keep something up. This rp was a test.

Not just for me, either, but for everyone who latched on to my crazy idea and are still helping it grow and mutate into this strange beast. For everyone who helped and went along with a GM who clearly had no idea what he was doing. None of this would be possible without you. Yes, there's the fact that an rp needs people, but also the massive help you've all been with worldbuilding, character building, and just generally settling into a theme.

Hope I see as many of you as possible next year.

The man turns around, having thought of something.
"The Sycamore vaults. They move around, but they should be in this building, and I know for a fact that this family has a Create Food and Drink wand. You think you could use that to make lard? It's a stretch... but at that point we might as well get a different distraction."

For the first time this night, his eyes go from half-lidded and shady to a determined sheen.

"I can spare one assassin, but this party's eventually going to boil over. Maybe an hour before those mercenaries throw this place into chaos like the imperial idiots they are. You'll have to be fast. You'll have mow down a two dozen or more guards... this is a test."

I don't remember it, but italics is pretty much universal shorthand for thoughts anyway.

Every potion is glowing to some extent, although they run the gamut from dull to "phone screen in the middle of the night". There's what looks like and enchanted chest behind the counter.

"I'll give it to you for free, nobody's gonna buy it and you'll need it.."
With that, he runs behind the counter, grabs a potion that's quite literally glowing, and forces it into your hand.

"If you manage to get the poi... make your blood normal again without getting the potion out of your system, it will give you cancer. Just a warning."

"I'd like to think it was because it was a menace and we had to destroy it, but the guy who pulled the trigger was such an uncaring bastard... I've got no clue."

 

I drink the potion

 

“Let’s do it!”

 

"Who pulled the trigger...?"

 

Go over and point at the chest.
"What's in here?"

"Go through the door on the other side of the room. In that hall, 2nd door on the right. There'll be a guard in the way, talk him down or something, but everything after that is soundproof. Knock yourself out with the murder and reanimation."
He waves over one of the other guests.
"Cole. This guy's gonna break into a vault. Help him."
"Yes, sir."

"The ninja, earlier. Some lizardman we picked up last town over. That was a mistake. His name's Dez if you wanna track him down.""

"... 30 Gold, up front. Imperial mint, I ain't trustin' foreign coin."

 

"How fast does the potion regenerate my body?"

 

"It's bright!"

Do I notice anything different about him?

 

“Here’s the plan Cole. You create some kind of distraction and then I’ll sneak behind the guard and cut his throat. You can even use my magical powders if you wish. Got it?”
