@SansWolf Sorry, could you see the other characters and try not to make a setting that covers with others? I'd have to adjust it in the end either way, but like, the two new characters both came in as drifter mercenaries and it was hard balancing them out.
Again I'll do the rest of the settings, but pls keep that in mind, thanks

"You know, Roswaal. I actually planned on joining the little Lady's group anyways. I knew I couldn't continue as a normal royal knight, and she was nice enough to take us in. And she has that coin that I'm still interested in."

Roswaal laughed. "Iiis that so, Rathius. I am glaaad to hear that."

She looked around the room—where only Carol, Rathius, Kayde, Angela, and James were left in.

"Aaaalright then. Kayde.... you seem to be wanting to tell me something, amn't I riiiight?"

Kayde widened his eyes in surprise, then he nodded. ".....yes. Last night..... I had a dream."

Roswaal closed her eye and gazed with her yellow eye. "Hooh~? And?"

"I.... I saw a vision through my left eye..... of «Gluttony» calling upon the White Whale over the Lifaus Highway and destroying the merchant town of Fleur. By the next time, «Greed» will appear in the Mathers Land and kill everybody in the area—including all the members of our Camp. This will happen in three days."

Roswaal narrowed her eye. ".....is that so. Then I will return to Mathers land as planned along with Lady Alice. There I will fend off «Greed», kill him if possible. Our camp will ignore the White Whale and «Gluttony»."

 

"Before you do that, there is something you want to tell us. Isn't that right, Roswaal?"

 

Aight.

"So what does that mean? As in, the future sight is enhanced by dreams?" Question, looking at Roswaal with the corner of my eye before turning it back to Kayde.
"Are you saying that one of Sins can invoke such a being?"

 

"I dooon't know what you're talking about?" Roswaal shrugged off Rathius's question cleanly, seeming amused.

Kayde pursed his lips at Angela's question—he knew that the white-haired woman in his dream was the one that forcefully activated his future-seeing, and that resulted in an overload of information leading to the awful nausea when he woke up. But he felt like he had to keep the existence of that 'witch' in his dreams a secret.....

"«Gluttony» Rey Beelzebub Farrenveitos... her authority turns humans into witchfiends. Seeing how her ability is concerned with witchfiends, I think it's very possible that she can call the White Whale...." Kayde said.

"Margrave, are you saying that we will leave the town of Fleur to destruction?" Carol asked, her voice tense.

Roswaal shrugged again. "There is no merit for us to waaaste our efforts trying to beat that monster. When everything's done.... we'll forget the town of Fleur ever existed, so we won't feel guilty either. Doooon't you think?"

 

"Forget about it?! What do you mean 'forget about it.'?!"

"And you know damn well what I'm talking about. I saw your little chatter with Kayde back there."

 

"Although I agree it's wasted time and effort, probably lives, I don't think we should forget about it. Just because it's destroyed, doesn't mean it's gone, get me?" Face my open hand towards Rathius, as if directing the question to him.

 

Roswaal laughed. "That was a minor conversation, really. I needed a few information Kayde managed to find out during the underground raid about the Eight Fingers. It is important to keep check what the Empire is doing in the South.... it is a very dangerous country with powerful people after all."

Kayde didn't say anything, but eyed Rathius with somewhat desperate expression.

"Noo no, you don't understaaand. The White Whale, because of its nature, emits a fog that 'deletes one's existence from the world' so nobody remembers they ever existed, similar to the Authority of Sloth.... but permanent and thorough. If that town gets destroyed, we will forget about it."

Roswaal stood up, not breaking her smile. "I will not lend any support in this matter. I will take Lady Alice and the others with Knight Diabel to Mathers land... that shall be enough fighting power to resist «Greed». You may choose to follow me or leave in this capital — either way, things will become interesting........" Roswaal laughed to herself.

"However, say you choose to fight the White Whale.... do not ask the Kingdom for help. This Camp cannot afford to owe the Kingdom's nobles owe any debts. Act as you see fit—but if you purposefully hinder Lady Alice's chance in becoming king, I will not hesitate to erase you."

 

"Oh, and what information would that be? I'm sure it would help us all out if you shared it with us."

"How lovely of you." Smile at her. "But I'm not leaving to Fleur, and nor am I going to fight the Sin. I must take care of my matters with Estelle."
Get up, stretching my limbs and looking over to everyone.

So much information. So we are save where we are? What is this town that it's attacking then?

 

A random town in the kingdom afaik. We are at Arcuntar so far as I'm aware, and we are supposed to protect the kingdom. The White Whale, however, is pretty much unbeatable, and so we shouldn't even waste our efforts on trying to do it.

Kayde, with a tense expression, leaned forward in his chair. "Roswaal..... why are you supporting Lady Alice to become King...? It didn't seem like it was what she wanted when I saw her...."

Roswaal laughed. "You see..... I have a goal. In order to reach it, I need the position of Arcuntar's crown." She said, walking down the room past where Kayde was sitting and towards the door. "She's..... a very important chess piece. I won't allow you to harm her."

"Then, I'll be going~!" Waving her hand lightly, Roswaal exited the room, leaving the five of them behind.

As Angela turned to leave as well, Carol raised a panicked voice. "W-wait, Angela! Are you seriously leaving!?"

 

"I don't trust her. What about you, Kayde?"
