    just wondering if this is a problem with the texture pack or is it something faulty on my side?

    Try a version between 1.9 to 1.11, that should fix it.

    1.8 versions of minecraft don't support durability based textures, which is why they don't show up. While versions between 1.8 and 1.13 are compatible with the server, 1.9-1.11.2 are the recommended versions.

    if 1.9 is one of the recommended versions, fix ur boats, they still sink
    as of like 2 months ago, havent gone on a boat yet. Pls clarify if they have been fixed already
