It doesn't hurt you, which is the main reason Doguns have a history of befriending dragons. It feels like a strong gust of warm wind. However, a dragon has its size, its claws and its intelligence, so it's only slightly less dangerous to a Dogun than it is to anyone else.

So, I got a bit carried away and ended up creating flags for each of the Nine Regions. I guess I'll add them to the original post.

"Figures. Well, we'll work it out."
He starts walking along the battlements, reaches a door to the inside of the palace and confidently turns the handle.
"Locked. I guess it would be."

I try to dodge the dwarves as they move in and push them off the stairs

 

There's not much space for dodging, so the best you can do is duck. They run at you and in a movement that looks more choreographed than a genuine mistake, the 'heavy lifter' dwarf trips over you and falls to the floor, his dagger slipping out of his hand and falling down the staircase. The 'thief' runs off at breakneck pace down the stairs, far outrunning the crowd and moving faster than you think you can go, at least if you use the stairs.

"No, we need to be stealthier than that."
He holds his wand out and starts making intricate movements at the lock.
"I learned this trick from Elimut. We and Dermit used to get into all sorts of shit at Gylia. I can't exactly deny being the instigator of most of it. But without Dermit's booksmarts and Elimut's ingenuity I wouldn't have been able to get far at all."
He gives a small chuckle and you hear a small clicking from inside the lock.

Everyone settles down and by the time Hels is at the table the entire room is staring. Togak's piercing blue eyes stare directly into Rin's, his expression somewhere between kindly and disapproving.

 

''Thats a cool trick.''

 

I tilt my head down a bit, and avert my gaze fron Togaks. I follow behind Hels.

 

"So?" Move out of the way so Togak can look at Rin better.

"And if anything bad happens, he'll protect me... right?"
Sneak a glance at Hels and let out a breath. Adjust my posture and thoughts to be less submissive for now. I look up at Togak.

@H0Y0Y0Y0Y0B0Y - So, I tried to direct you back to my last unresponded-to message, but I'll just go over what happened since then. This is also what @Bluescreen sees. You may both react accordingly.

The two Dwarves carried the Eye into the staircase cave and out of sight, the crowd following after them and Ozoth slowly and dramatically advancing on them. Chunchunmaru, the Dogun mage, charged into the cave, using a teleport spell to jump ahead of the crowd, and as the tail of the crowd files in and Ozoth stands in the entrance, nearly blocking it.

"Thanks", he says, as the door swings open. "The trick is casting a ton of tiny push spells to probe the mechanism, then using- well Elimut would explain it better, Heaven knows I'm no fucking teacher. It's pretty intricate, all I'll say."
He starts strolling through the, but is startled by a servant walking down the corridor inside with an armful of linen, pushing you aside and almost knocking you off the wall as he throws himself out of sight.
"Shit. Think he saw us? Doesn't matter, he's gone now."
He gets up and walks straight back in as if nothing happened.

His gaze seems to only gain more scrutiny. Worse, it feels like on some level he understands you, and your objections to his philosophy, and is not impressed. He is undoubtedly fiendishly intelligent and would demolish you in a debate. For one brief moment you feel that he probably knows best, quickly replaced by an almost obsessive insistence that you're right and he's wrong, though how, you can no longer explain.
