Rp - Gavel's Darkest Hour- Act Two Begins [7/7]

I quickly raise my hand up and push your hand out of the way.
"He's okay..."

 

Reach the other hand towards it.
"Is he really? I hear people aren't quite free back in Aldorei."

 

"It's fine."
Move the hand I raised before to grab the wrist you're moving.
"I'm fine as well."

 

Use the other hand.
"Are you really now?" Raise an eyebrow.

 

"Yeah, I looked at it already."
I lean away.

 

Lean closer "I'm talking about you, not your cheek. Although I also want to know about that."

 

"Just stop, okay?"

 

Stop moving.
"Fine." Back away and look towards Elimut.

 

I let go of the arm I was holding as you back off.
Peek over at Togak to see if he saw any of that.

 

"Sure. I'l follow."

 

He pulls his wand towards himself in an elaborate flourish that you remember Dermit specifically telling you not to do, and you feel yourself being dragged through the air by your shoulders, and as Halster finishes the gesture you land on the wall, barely keeping your footing. A pull spell - it always looked a bit mundane to you, and besides, why would you want your target closer to you, but you can't deny it has its uses.
"To the Palace Library?"

Aiming at the ceiling of the cavern, you cast the spell, and with a much louder sound than anyone competent would make, you find yourself with your face against the rock, falling down directly onto the Eye. It feels extremely hard and hot, even as a Dogun, and the two dwarves drop it as you land - it narrowly avoids sliding down the stairs and aw you slide off you see the dwarves drawing large daggers and lunging at you. The crowds continue to stream past, clearly only focused on escaping.

As you arrive, you see two Doguns standing still behind a villager, a terrified crowd pushing their way into a cavern, Derntok lying injured and distressed on the path and most obviously an enormous scarlet dragon, advancing on foot towards the cavern, her wings tucked back.
"All in the name of peace. Isn't it poetic?"

He seems to be debating with one of the Gylia teachers. You don't understand much of what they're saying- it seems very technical, but it seems to be a scholarly disagreement over the theory of cosmic magic, whatever that is. The teacher claims it's the sixth inanimate element, while Elimut argues it is in fact the combination of the complete absence of mana and elements and a high concentration of magical energy. Both seem to think the other's explanation is needlessly complicated.

He's talking with some of the Embassy, but his attention seems to be divided, he's staring at the remains of his box.

 

"Lead the way"

 

Take a few steps away from Rin and look over to Abbot Tranki, then later towards the closet, under it specifically.

 

I watch the situation

 

Abbot Tranki hasn't moved, he's still staring into his now nearly empty glass. The underneath of the closet is unremarkable. You notice the same amount of dust there as the surrounding floor telling you it was moved recently, but you already knew that. You do however notice a slight bulge in the bottom as you lean down, telling you that there's a lot of weight on the middle of it.

He takes you along the wall and to the edge and points across the river to similar ramparts on the other side, part of the palace.
"Think you can teleport across? Or do you need my help again?"

Given that both Wynnchairman and H0Y are involved, I'll give updates to what you can see of it.

 

"If I loose my clothes can you pick them up?" I then draw my sword and cast teleport

 

Look over to the box.

 

"What's this?" Mutter silently to myself, kneeling up. Throw a single seed discreetly under the closet and then walk back to an empty sit.

 

It looks like the Palace staff have done their best to hide what happened. The splintered remains of supports and banisters have been removed, sanded down and repainted in a colour only slightly off the deep purple the rest of the upper floors walls are painted in. A royal banner is conspicuously placed in front of what you know is the door that once led to the box, and the former Gylia box on the opposite side of the room reveals what it looked like only yesterday.

Focusing your mana to the other side, you successfully teleport with a loud pop. There's a straight scorch mark along the path on either side.
"Not bad, not bad at all. If I you would appreciate it, you need to make sure your focus hits very slightly wider area, so you disperse the aggressive part of the spell. That very powerful thunder slash tends to happen when the point your teleporting to is too specific. You waste a lot of mana, and there are better ways to inflict the damage."

Elimut gets up and holds up his hand. "Alright, break's over. Please return to your designated places. Could Hels Gahn and Rinea Taerak please stand on the table, we need everyone to see them to judge the truthfulness of their statements. We now discuss the matter of the assassination of the High Delegate."
Everyone immediately reforms into the positions they were at before.

 

"Noted" I say as I confirm that I still have clothes and wait for him to continue
