Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

“See, that’s the other thing. They have to be someone who wants to protect gods who are doing their job... because I was built as a godslaying weapon. I don’t expect anyone to take a punch because I’m meant to crack Gaia-level defenses.”
Pause.
“So, strong and loyal to your Lady Gaia. I am a failsafe, not a firestarter.”

 

"I don't think you'll find any living earth guardian strong enough to wield you then." The earth guardian says.

 

“I heard of a legendary one... at least, held in high regard. Someone named Terra?”

 

The earth guardian nods.

"He's mostly just stories though. Supposedly he's buried somewhere deep in the earth, waiting to be released." The earth guardian says.

 

“Do you think I could go back with you and try to learn about him? I don’t have anywhere else to go.”

 

"Sure, our library has books on him, but it won't be open until morning." The earth guardian says, gesturing to the half-moon above.

 

Fable nods.
“Sorry to wake you, I thought more people would feel the tremor than hear me scream.”

 

"You sort of woke the whole town." The earth guardian shrugs.

 

Bardock follows, feeling a bit uneasy.

 

"If it's not too much trouble. I mean, I feel like you've already done a lot, y'know?"

 

“Oh... sorry.”

“It’s easy.” The draconian nods, fusing one other small thing into the gauntlet.
“And done.”

He slips into a back room, nobody else inside as he holds the door open.
“In here.”

 

"Huh."
The giant smiles.
"Well, uh, thanks."

 

"Well, I suppose saving a life is worth it." The earth guardian says.

 

"Yeah, no problem. Go make your boss lose out for the rest of your life."

"I didn't know how else to get anyone to come... last time I knocked on the ground, people came. I hoped it'd work again."

 

The giant chuckles, then awkwardly looks around.
"So, uh... how do I get outta here?"

 

A portal opens back to Vox's office.
"There you go. Good luck."

 

The giant smiles.
"Thanks."
He makes his way through the portal.

 

"Well, generally other waveforms get attention too." The earth guardian says, holding his hand out as a bit of rain begins to fall.

 

"Like what?" Fable asks, seeming unaware of the rain.

It closes behind him, the fae waving.

 

The giant waves back as the fae can hear Vox.
"Well? H-"
