Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Fable steps closer to the guardian, holding out the fae.
“Sorry about the captor.” She sighs, looking guilty.

 

"Don't sweat it." The earth guardian says, gently taking the faerie and holding them with both hands.

 

Fable sighs, slumping against the nearest tree and looking at how many people actually came.

 

About ten to twelve people came to Fable's disruption, many hanging around to try and find the source.

 

Fable stands up after a few take the fae back out of sight.
“What’re you looking for?” She asks, something between nervous and curious.

 

"We sensed a major disturbance in the earth's crust coming from this location. We're looking for it's source." One of the earth guardians says.

 

“Oh, uhm...”
Fable sighs.
“You’re looking at it.” She admits.

 

"What?" The earth guardian asks, looking around.

 

“Me. I knocked on the ground hoping someone would come. I didn’t mean to do damage...”

 

"But...how?" The earth guardian asks.

 

“Come... I punched the captor once.” Fable says, gesturing for them to follow as she heads to the gored tree.
“...and this is all that remains of them.”

 

"What are you?" The earth guardian asks, slightly intimidated.

 

“Someone who never belongs.” Fable sighs. “A living weapon, looking for a wielder... feels like all I can ever do is watch and wait.”

 

"A living weapon?" The earth guardian asks, confused.

 

Fable closes her eyes, enters a meditative stance, and then two gauntlets clatter to the ground where she stood.
A few seconds later, she transforms back.

 

"So you're trying to prevent yourself from falling into the wrong hands?" The earth guardian asks.

 

She nods.
“To the best of my abilities, yes.”

 

"So what would you classify as a worthy wielder?" The earth guardian inquires.

 

“They need to be strong. Not stronger than me, then I’d be useless. I was told Earth Guardians fit that, but I got kicked out of a boxing ring because I poked one and they hit mach 1.” Fable says, shuddering at the memory.

 

"I'd think only Lady Gaia could resist that." The earth guardian says.
