Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

“He just won’t know you ever got a prosthetic. Can’t take advantage of it if he doesn’t know it.”

 

"I mean... it looks like just a hand to me."
The giant flexes the prosthetic one more time.
"But you're the powerful ones here."

 

“Well, don’t let it get to your head. Just try not to wreck it on the job, the rest of you would disintegrate trying.”

 

"Not up to me. I'll tell anyone who's buyin', though."

 

“Wouldn’t they just tell Vox?”

 

"Not unless they want Vox to charge them more."

 

"Uhm.. yeah?"

 

“Do you want me to enchant it so Vox just gets wiped whenever someone tries to tip him off?”

“I got a few questions for you... mind stepping in a back room real quick?”

 

"We're out in the open. Where would there be a back room?"

 

The faerie's beathing is quick and short, like they can never catch a breath. They seem too weak to even fly, snd little red marks appearer in Fable's hands.

 

“C’mere.” They say, heading towards a passage between the castle walls and another building.

Fable looks to see what the red marks are, starting back towards the village.

 

They appear to be small amounts of blood from the faerie, the burns still bleeding as if they completely eroded the skin.

 

Fable starts running before realizing how far she came, then turns to the trees again.
“Here’s hoping the good guys come running...” Fable says, knocking gently on the ground twice, shaking the entire forest a bit.

 

Fable ends up waking the entire town, Earth Guardians hurriedly coming to investigate.

 

“Hello? Someone’s hurt!” She calls, nervous as she glances at the fae.

 

The faerie seems to have fallen unconscious, breathing slowed, but struggled.

"Were they hurt by the earthquake?" An earth guardian asks, a fire guardian walking next to them to provide light as they approach.

 

“No, someone tried to capture them.” Fable says, holding out the fae nervously.

 

The earth guardian looks are the faerie, concerned.

"Did you catch them?" The earth guardian asks.

 

“I think they’re dead.” Fable says, glancing back towards the gored tree.

 

"Well, I suppose that's better than them getting away," The earth guardian says, "We can take the faerie back to our healers, they should be able to revert the damage."
