Also, on a more serious note, I've been thinking and I now have an actual speculation: I think everyone is thinking too hard. Just look right in front of your nose! It's a picture of some berries. now, mob name tags and missing corn and all that complex stuff aside, we have some dark purple berries that salted wants our attention to be drawn to. They are right smack in the center of the picture after all. (Not to mention the title of the thread is Tasty Berries.) Now then, quit thinking so deep.

Berries. Dark purple. Now.. whats dark purple that we all know and love? (if you're still lost right now theres no hope for you) Mythics of course! I'm relatively confident that this is supposed to be signaling that a change involving mythics is coming soon.

It makes sense too, considering how totally messed up the economy is, and also taking into account that on salted's reddit AMA he said he had plans to improve the economy. (https://imgur.com/a/gDBwqky) Knowing how slow the wynn CT loves to be with updates, (btw release dern faster reee) around now might be a good time for those improvements since salted said that 6 months ago. Sooo, if this is right, (and I think it is because all the pieces fit together), All aboard the mythic changes and economy fixing hype train! :o

He could've literally taken anything dark purple in the game and then we could connect it to mythics. It doesn't actually point out why berries of all things... just the colour.

Anyways, I still think my speculation is the closest to what Salted was getting at.

also, you're still thinking too deep, that fact that they are berries is totally unimportant, the dark purple is what matters. I doubt salted would get a sword, paint it purple, and snap a picture of it. Way too obvious. The point of this thread is for people to try to discover the meaning of the picture, and salted surely wouldn't make sure every single variable is in place, all pointing to the answer. It was probably too much work to align ALL the stars. Or, maybe he kept some things that way on purpose to throw people off. (The missing corn is a perfect example.)
So, yeah, I still have 95% faith in my speculation

but idk. your speculation just seems a little weak to me. I feel like the fact that they are berries should have something to do with it because he didn't make any gesture towards the colour. Ik that if he said something like "Check out these rad purple berries" would make things more obvious about the purple aspect but I just don't see a strong connection between mythics being a dark purple while these berries are... well to be honest they aren't that dark of a purple.

Wow this is a nice theory, but as others said, the proof that mythics and the berries are connected is kinda weak.

Well the emeralds make elephat's post stronger because it is money

But what about the piston fish?

 

It could be that you collect fish, bring them to a fish presser, throw the fish on there, gets pressed, and then you get emeralds.

Ok, I know it was salted who did the posting, but dose a shitpost(?) really need 15 pages of responses? Unless these berries are the secret to unleashing dern upon the world I don't think there is nothing too terribly important here. That being said, is this actually where we think it is? This might be a teaser for a new area of corkus or something.
