Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Mmhmm. Mhmm, okay..."
The giant tries to breathe heavily, but it just makes him breathe more quickly.

 

"Huh?" Katie asks, confused.


The bullets swarm around the figure like wasps, some of them feeling acidic while others feel red hot.

The cowboy just stands where they are, smirking, guns held by their side.

 

The draconian rubs a bit more of the oil under his nose, otherwise silent.

 

The giant lets him do it as he whispers to himself.
"This isn't supposed to happen, what the hellll..."


Meanwhile, half a dozen golems enthusiastically jog up to Ted on the hand, checking on his situation.

 

"I don't think they can survive taking a blow from me." Fable whispers, worried.


They don't seem to affect the figure in the slightest.

The rim of their hat falls off, cut cleanly. There's also shallow cuts on each of their fingers.
"By all means, continue living in your delusion. Give up, and I can show you the truth." Their voice echoes.

Ted seems to have somehow dozed off.

 

Katie looks worried.

"How are you going to find someone to wield you?" Katie asks.


The cowboy spins their guns back again, reverting the damage before suddenly firing two shots. Nothing comes out of their gun though.

 

The golems do some quick checking on the hand before leaving and then coming back by wheeling in what seems to be a very large lazer cannon.
The golems tinker around for a bit and aim the cannon at the hand, then fire it up. After a few seconds, a thin, red lazer shoots out, landing in between Ted's upper half and the goop, separating the two while singeing Ted in the process.

 

"I dunno... maybe if I poke them?"


The figure shows up in front of them, holding two daggers like the hands of a clock.
"Run, run, as fast as you can... you can't outrun me, I've got god's blood on my hands..." They taunt.

Ted yelps, turning into a magma puddle and reforming completely after glancing around in a panic.

 

"Don't need to." The cowboy says, holding their guns out in a similar fashion. They spin their guns, and the figure feels a temporal magic begin to effect them. However, it doesn't appear to be coming directly from the cowboy.

 

"Hmph... fine, I suppose it's time for me to tag out." They growl, turning into a broadsword as the daggers form into a body, the temporal magic being blocked entirely by a null wave.

"Alright, so secret's out. Two in one package. Death and Chronomancy. Let's dance." The new figure says, a dress unfurling from their hips.

 

One of the golems jogs up to Ted with a sack, sits down, and starts taking out four different small bags of dog food and pouring them out in front of Ted. One of the dog food piles just ends up being beef jerky.
The rest of the golems - excluding the one manning the cannon - start pushing the cannon to the other side of the hand to check if the other half is still there.

 

No, Ted's one hound again.

Ted growls at the cannon, intimidated.

 

The five golems near the cannon start rolling it back towards what look to be a large metal building.
The last golem stays, scooping up some of the food and tossing it to Ted's feet.

 

Ted jumps a bit, sniffing at the jerky before sampling each pile.

 

The first pile is basic kibble, with chunks of meat. It's dry, near tasteless, and calling the meat "meat" is a stretch.
The second pile seems to be a chopped and mixed combination of eggs and rabbit flesh. It's presentation would be disgusting to anyone who cared.
The third pile is a blood-soaked minced meat. It'd be easier to tell what kind of meat were it not soaked and chopped, but it's probably some kind of internal organ.
The pile of jerky is heavily smoked and lightly honeyed, cut into little bite-sized pieces. Not bite-sized for a hound, but bite-sized nonetheless.

 

Ted seems to prefer the first pile and the jerky, avoiding the second and showing little interest in the third.

 

The golem sits and witches, idly neatening his now-empty bags of dog food.

 

Ted gets through parts of the piles before becoming full and approaching the golem, sniffing if allowed to get close.

 

The golem does not react to Ted other than continuing to look at him.

 

Ted licks the golem, and if it continues not to react, Ted sniffs around to try and find other places to go, glancing up every now and then.
