Favorite Game Style?

This should be a simple enough topic to discuss, what are you guys’ favorite type of game? Platformer, puzzle, FPS, adventure, etc. (I can’t be bothered to make a poll for every type)

 

Probably adventure, but that could be anything.

 

RTS, but more macro than micro heavy (As in its not necersary to have high APM constantly cause thats just tiring) and 4X.

 

MMOs and rpgs all the way,

Probably RPG. The thing is, it's a pretty vague thing: shooters, platforming and all other kinds of games can all have RPG elements.

Also, I suggest you add a poll.

 

FPS, especially if it's focused on skill like CS:GO, Overwatch, R6S, etc.

 

Any sort of strategy (Realtime or Turn-based), and Simulation. Card games, but only if it's Hearthstone, and RPGs, but only if it's Wynn.

This is kinda tricky. I would probably say RPG, but without turn based combat. Celeste just got me into platformers though.

 

I like all sorts of game types, RPGs, Tower Defense, Adventures, Platformers, Bullet Hells... (does Idle count? cookie clicker gives me my sick kicks)
what Im not so into is FPSs, TPSs, Visual Novels... uh... any other types I'm missing? (does Horror count? I like horror, as long as it isn't a jumpscare fest)

 

I'm guessing he is talking about Touhou but those are also good games

For me it would have to be fighting games like blazblue, skullgirls, street fighter, smash bros, etc. I just love mastering certain characters and combos are always a satisfying thing to accomplish and master

i decided this after playing touhou and undertale and finding both incredibly entertaining
and maybe some mobile bullet hell game that was also pretty entertaining
havent played the ones you mentioned though
but ye the genre in general is pretty entertaining in my opinion

 

For me it would have to be a good roguelike such as Nuclear Throne and Enter the Gungeon.

 

You have to play them. They’re both hard, and BoIR relies quite a bit on RNG, but they are still fun. I can’t make it past the second floor on the Gungeon though...

 

Platformer (In some cases)
and then Adventure, Puzzle, and RPG are my clear winners.

Oh and I also like bullet hells, theres this one app on my phone thats the only bullet hell I've ever played and I like it.

 

What about the endless tutorials, winning-the-battle-but-lose in the cutscenes, the blatant pandering of Anime fanboys, high level enemies appearing randomly in low levels areas, and that one furbe that sounds like Jar-Jar Binks having a sex slave robot?
