A Possible Solution To The Guild Glitch?

I have no idea if this was fixed since i recently came back to Wynn, but it seems like I was able to leave my guild today despite changing my name.

Basically I tried leaving my guild, which doesn't work, and I leave Wynn and change my name back to my old name that is listed in the TAB under Guild. Somehow, on Wynn, now I'm not in my guild.


idk if its replicatable but it seems to fix the guild glitch.

 

I'm sure when staff made the guilds system, when u join a guild , it registers your UUID which is the identity of your Minecraft account and they don't register by the player name or the player itself (as an Object).
So, when changing your name, I don't think you will be kicked out of your guild, unless it's another bug.

 

its not that, it has to do with the name change glitch because i believe guilds are still coded based on name and not UUID.

Because the guild system was never updated since 1.7.
If you were unaware, changing your name would lock you in your guild. I'm not sure if that is still the case, but it seemed to fix itself that time.
