"I'm sure this seems strange, but I'm the High Delegate substitute now." Say before muttering something to myself. "Apparently."

 

You walk past the bank and the inn, and into the clothing store. The shopkeeper lets out a tiny shriek of surprise.
"Hello - uh, you got that one wet too? And for the record, Esmé Deepwater did not bribe me. What can I do for you? Uh, Sir?"

He sighs.
"You're just there so Elimut can claim the Coalition had a chance at representation. You're little more than a straw dummy he can tear down."
Elimut clears his throat loudly. "And now, to the territorial claims to the Forgery and North Gate area of the Forest Coalition. I, Elimut, shall be representing the Mages' Duchy of Gylia in these proceedings. Representing the Coalition will be Hels Gahn. Gahn - do you swear to represent the interests of the Coalition to the best of your ability?"

You turn back from the alley and into the group of tents. They seem to be empty, but they are probably private. Outside one is a flyer. There's a drawing of Torl along with some runes. (I tried to put them in but they didn't show up...)

Well, there are several ways to do that but the way I'd favour in your case is getting you out of the way for that time. So you'll probably be living in Grinefez with Bantira, away from the action, and I'll resume it afterwards, fill you in on the news from the Province and Chunchunmaru will become relevant again.

She collapses to her knees, her face contorted in pain. "No... doctor available. At rally. Can you... use a spell?"

Tranki gives you an apologetic look and holds his head in his hands.

You wander round the tents - they mostly seem to be abandoned, but in one you can hear the sound of breathing, but it doesn't seem to be a Dogun. It abruptly stops when you draw near - someone is hiding here.

 

Supposing I actually have to make an argument, give me an hour or two, please?

And supposing I have chances of keeping the territories with the Coalition and this isn't one of those Elimut being able to godmode things so he gets the territory regardless.

 

You can let the Coaltion keep it, or there could be another outcome altogether (you could, if you really wanted, claim it actually belongs to the Duchy of Ahms, or that without Doushoins or an actual king the meeting is invalid [if Hels would think of that]) - Elimut has to accept the conclusion of the meeting, which was why Togak nominated you.

"Well, I doubt he needs any more robes, now he's rotting in a dungeon. So, are you- you buying for yourself today? Or something else?"

He looks relieved not to have to lie anymore.

It is cheaper than you expected, but you certainly can't afford it. This man must be very used to rich customers.

Say, looking at the other Representatives and trying to overhear any conversations.




That text has a lot of assuming and a lot of potentially idiot stuff from my part, if you want to correct it or just roll with it is up to you.
