Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The giant checks what, or who, it's a corpse of.

 

Just a guard.
Ted seems a bit adverse to the sight.

 

"It's okay."
The giant continues scratching Ted, heading after the group.

 

It smells of burnt flesh up ahead, the path splitting again. Due to the curvature, you can’t see down either one, and it sounds like chaos on both ends.

 

"I have my friend Abigail. She's always supported me." Katie says.

 

“That’s good. I’m guessing you keep each other out of trouble?”

 

"Yeah, we've been friends for ages." Katie says happily.

 

Fable smiles.
“Always good to have others to fall back on.”

 

"We can fly."

He flies a circle to try out the whole flying thing.

 

The giant hobbles down the right-most path, expecting a fight.

 

Unsurprisingly, there's a fight. Two draconians hold off two guards, all of them fighting like rabid dogs.

You fly in the circle as you think about it.

So, if you think we can do it, we do it... that's sort of scary.

 

The giant focuses on one of the guards, trying to create and bind metal around his feet to weigh him down or trip him.

 

"Hmm."

He looks around for his familiar green dragon.

 

"Yeah, and Artemis and the Shadows," Katie says positively, "They've taught me a lot."

 

You manage to do so... but it doesn't seem to do much - they're already pinned against a wall. In fact, they both are.

"Well, if you don't mind me throwing in my two cents, the most valuable knowledge can only be learned from your enemies. I'm not all up in the whole love and peace thing, but I always learn the most from people I don't get along well with."

Hey, what if you try to become a dragon?

Sgavrinn's nowhere to be seen. The largest thing visible below is a bear.

 

Katie thinks, "I suppose so." She responds.

 

"Now, don't just walk up to anyone you don't get along with, obviously safety's a concern for you since you're a being of flesh and bone. I'm not great with metaphors, but it's sort of like being unable to see what's happening on a globe that keeps changing when you hate the person on the other side of the table. Sure, you've got half of it, but it's only half."

 

Katie looks confused.

 

The giant just stands at the ready, preparing if they break free.

 

"Maybe I can imagine looking into Sgavrinn's eyes?"
