"Making more slaves, or removing whoever doesn't want to be a slave." Katie shrugs.

 

“So, you have no idea what his plans are and you’re just blindly opposing him?”

 

"Well, um..." Katie thinks for a moment, "He's evil. Enslaving people and taking away their free will through mind control isn't right!"

 

"Where, oh where could he be?"

"We've been to the park before. And to the fire station."

 

Instead, the giant makes a slope on the other side of the wall, and the wall starts slowly scraping along the wall towards the mind-controlled guards, pushing the vomit with it.
The giant seems thoroughly exhausted.

 

Fable just stares at Katie, seeming unconvinced.

They scatter down tunnels you don’t have line of sight in.

He’s a giant green dragon. It’s not like that’s easy to miss. But, he always seemed to know what we should do, so maybe he expects us to be lost somewhere?

 

The giant makes a little slit in the wall as the wall starts to move slower, looking through it to stop it just before the crossroads.

 

"What?" Katie asks, a little nervous.

 

"Ha. Maybe. I don't know what goes on inside his little head."

 

“You’re no better than him, are you?” She asks, suspicious.

Little head? His head is like twice as big as ours, at least! Well... he doesn’t really seem particularly smart, though.

An arrow flies through the slit in response.

 

The giant barely dodges the arrow and closes the slit, slowly continuing to telekinetically push the wall.

 

It stops a few feet further on.

 

"Take it how you want. He's not the brightest, that's what I know."

 

The giant lets it stop.
"Fuck... that was a bad idea."
He says to nobody in particular.

 

"What do you mean?" Katie asks, hurt.

 

Well, insulting a mute dragon that isn’t here isn’t getting us anywhere. Remind me of your plans, because if you have none I don’t mind sitting around in this park.

“Surely you have enemies you oppress, no? I’ve found that the more one race wants to help another, the more they want to polish their image.”
Pause.
“And if it makes you feel better, no, I don’t really think you’re as bad as someone trying to strip free will from others.”

Ted whines in response, dangling pitifully with his head bumping against the ground occasionally.

 

"Well, yes. But I'm not doing it for the fame! I just don't want the hive master taking control of my friends." Katie says worriedly.

 

“One question to think about, then I’ll drop the subject - how many families have you torn apart here at your home? Don’t count the hellbent nothing-left-to-lose psychopaths, just the standard run-of-the-mill fool tricked into fighting you for one reason or another.” Fable asks. “I’ve met the nicest people, always caring for and helping others. I’ve met the worst people, attacking on sight and setting traps wherever they roam. What’s in the heart don’t matter once it’s ripped out, but what it’s done still does.”

 

"I plan on finding Sgavrinn. But.. I won't spend the entire night doing so, ofcourse."

 

"I need to go do... something."
The giant wipes his mouth with his free hand, scoops up the rest of ted, and puts his back against a wall and slides down, sitting.
