D&d --- Identity

"I was with Emma Woods, and the guy who calls himself 'Lucky". Funny thing, they have the same last name, but no relation. It's actually not even her last name. Anyway, a friend of mine, and a client, named Leo Beck was a factory owner. When the Arms Factory went up for sale, I encouraged him to sell the factory he owned and buy the Arms Factory. In fact..."

He pulls out a paper

"I have a map of the Arms Factory right here."

 

I take a look at the map.
"Have you told mister Beck about this?"

 

"That's the thing, I didn't see Leo after the fire. That's why I went go the factory to begin with, to look for him. And, of course, as his attorney, the factory was in my name until a descendant could claim it. I wanted to see how... well... my property was looking. But I havn't seen Leo since before the fire."

 

"Have you had time to ask around for him?"

 

"No. After I escaped, I figured the factory was not in a good shape to worry about re-selling. And, I figured after seeing the state of it, Leo likely died in the fire."

 

"...Did you happen to, ah, see what was attacking you, in your experience?"

 

"Not very clearly. Big guy. Maybe a yellow shirt? He was wearing a mask."

 

"Did the mask have antlers on it?"

 

"Right, right."

"So.. if no one knows anything about the symbol, shall we continue to the next room?"

 

"I don't think so? That's an odd detail. There might have been, but I don't remember any."

 

"Did you see anybody die?"

 

"No. I looked away when anyone was in a bad spot."

 

"Did you take a count of how many people that was?"

 

"No. Some things are best left uncounted."

 

I raise my eyebrow.
"Do you mind if I keep this map?"

 

"Of course not!"

 

I store the map.
"How long ago was your attack?"

 

"Oh, I don't know. Several months ago?"

Note: This is using the new timeline, where the attacks started about a year ago. In old timeline, it would be several weeks ago.

 

"Well, thank you."
I turn to leave, but stop, and a quickly turn back around for a good ol' Menacing.
Intimidation: 12 + 13 = 25
"You didn't lie to me, did you, boy?"

 

"n...n...no"
