I'm going to try and pull out the antenna I found before anyone walks inside.

"They were all spread around. There were about 6 of them I think."

I head through the door that Lin just sabotaged, holding up my magical Light to guide me.

The room has 2 doors leading out from it, and has 3 things inside.

First, is a chair which is tied to a bunch of fireworks. On the chair is a corpse.

Second, is a strange machine with an antenna.

And lastly is a large symbol drawn onto the floor.

 

I walk over to the chair and try to get some of the fireworks.

 

They are strapped on with duct tape and rope and chains and stuff

 

I go over to the corpse and examine it, drawing upon my forensics knowledge to try and learn as much from it as I can.

Investigation: 19 + 13 = 32

 

Can I try to get one loose? Try and find one that seems the most loose.

I turn my head very quickly and stare him in the eyes (Menacing).

I'll examine the machine to determine whatever I can about it. What would I roll... Investigation?

None seem loose. You need to actually put some work into getting them out.

The cause of death is actually pretty clear. A giant stab wound right in the middle of the chest is painfully noticeable. It's not a small knife stab, it was a big blade. Furthermore, your background in forensics (AKA your high Invest check) yields 2 more pieces of info.

1) The incision is slightly angled. Whoever did this was striking downwards.

2) The incision is clean at the top, but the bottom looks like it was torn. A curved blade maybe?

It looks like an old machine for code-reading, repurposed to act as a sort of switch. It also seems to be rigged to a speaker, as if failing to operate it correctly would produce something from the speaker.
