D&d --- Identity

The three of you go upstairs, into the room I described earlier. It's a small square room, with 4 iron gates instead of doors. They all are unlocked. There's also a strange amount of fog here, for some reason.

Doctor: "From what I saw, the whole hospital is in ruins."

 

"So.. those must be the mechanical doors which are connected to the machines."

I'm going to search for the wiring of the doors, just one of them.
Investigation: 10 +8 =18

 

"I see... Did you see anything during your escape?"

 

"What do you mean?"

There is wiring attached to the metal gates, connected to a hidden antenna

 

"These machines... I looked into Tracy's memories (I say this matter-of-factly, as if it's not at all wierd) and saw machines being used to operate the doors, but I assumed they were a normal part of the factory. Did they also appear at the other scenes? Were they part of the attacks?"

"And what about this fog? Was it a common element between attacks as well?"

 

The room you are in doesn't have any machines, just the doors.

 

"Just while you were running, did you come across anything?"

 

Yeah that's why I said it. This William has a last name I can pronounce. There is a certain William who's last name sounds like Orfkakckwkfnzkwakdmelwlmc in my head.

 

"Like, files? No, I'm sorry."

 

He mentioned machines to me a few minutes earlier, I was continuing that conversation.

I know, just wanted to make it clear what you are and are not currently seeing

 

"No, just anything unusual happening? Like, maybe, any traces of... The suspect? Anything that stuck out?"

 

"No, I didn't see anything like that at the hospital."

 

"I feel like those machines are on the other side. They needed to escape or something, remember? Get to the machines and the monster was preventing them to."

"Also, I found an antenna."

 

"Hmm. But why would this derelict mansion have mechanical devices like this? Or were they set up here in preparation for this "hunt"... or most concerning of all, did they simply appear here?"

"We should be safe to proceed. Even if the gates lock us in, I have enough magic to teleport two people up to five hundred feet, passing through barriers. So we can make a hasty escape if needed."

"Now come on, I'd like to find the remains of the victims."

 

The gates are all open

"There are 3 of us."

 

That's no assurance that they won't close on their own. They're operated by antennae, after all.

 

"So you came across nothing while escaping, save for rubble?"

 

I think blue went downstairs.
