He waves it around, and there's a poof of smoke

He's still standing there, unmoving. Then, you feel a tap on your shoulder. You turn, to see no one there. Suddenly, the magician fades into view, while the illusion that was in his place dissapears

 

"...What were you doing before you woke up in the church?"
I continue with the investigation.

 

"Okay, good. Tell me: Did you see any dead, and were there markings or anything that would indicate how they died?"
