The belt.. well, nothing happens if either of you try it on. The blue gemstone hand thing, if you just feed it raw magic without casting a spell, mimics your hand movements with a range of maybe 10 feet. As for the scroll... The runes clearly aren't in common or any other language you know.

The building catches on fire behind you, just as you see people coming up the main road. It's what looks like a group of performers, really, maybe 4 of them in a cart. They're looking around, kind of warily before they catch your eye and their faces practically light up in terror.

The stuff is in your arms again, and the group that was trapped sighs in relief before screaming and pointing behind you.

All ot says in entrap one opponent- which makes it better than hold person doesn't it? :/

In my opinion hold person is better since it lasts longer and also makes so the opponent can't take actions


Hey @HMTN looking at my inventory there are things that I don't have and also one missing
1) I no longer have the scroll of silence I used it to read quietly
2)I used the hp potion on Matt
3)in spellbooks I also stole the spell book for anti magic shell and it's not there

 

Imo, quicksand is better early game (especially since I don't remember cooldowns being a thing)
But Hold person gets insane late game.

Like it might work since it's magic but... hm.

 

We are down to 3 people what.
It's 4 AM so I'll make the taglist and find their last replies tomorrow.

As for the answer... you have to use common sense at some point. If she wasn't floating magic sand might do her in. She is. No-sell on ground attacks.

You thiever off with what looks to be a totally normal belt, as you don't know its effect, a legit useful magic hand (but wait you use a different system of magic), and a scroll you can't read.
Dez has to settle for the bag, which turns out to be a bag of holding.

Yes I no longer need to carry two bags. I stuff the bag of holding with the items that were in my bags and then throw the bags away. I then check out the pocketwatch

 

They were shiny/bright ish. xD

The guards, if their word was to be trusted, were back in the tavern and are now on fire.

It's a clock small enough to carry. Remarkable, (seeing as these things shouldn't exist yet)
In the back, it seems to be powered by a small gemstone that moves around a tiny gear in a predictable fashion.
The pcoketwatch only has an hour hand, showing the time as slightly past 7.
