I'll assume that everyone goes down the hole. It continues to a relatively open space with some spider webs. A giant spider sees the party and rears up to attack, but then notices Liun and skitters down the mineshaft away from you.

 

Can I make a perception check to see if it's on of one of val'tash's spiders? I forgot their names, one was cuiallun or something

Also if we're going into a cave with no sources of light he takes out a torch and lights it. Also when walking through the cave he looks for the sword, perception: nat 20 :D
