Tell me all the ways you think wynns economy is bad and why it happened.. quite simple

    Problems:
Inflation, more emeralds are coming in than going out

    Solutions:

    Credit: @chopthetree
Nerf mythics so that they’re still special and the best option for the items play style, but not so powerful that they can easily beat all other builds.

    Credit: @Yuno F Gasai
Make it so items break over time and require emeralds to repair. The higher the rarity and level the more emeralds required, with mythics taking SIGNIFICANTLY more.

    Credit: @Theeef
Make it so all non-humanoid mobs cannot drop emeralds. Only mobs that could have once been a part of society (like undead miners), that would have had a need for emeralds can drop them.. It just makes sense, and helps with emerald flow.

What are some solutions you guys can think of?

plus theres no real way to take emeralds out, guild banners were ment to be a money sink but no one cares about the banner, unless the guild is so rich that it doesnt even matter

In the real world, countries have printed so much money that the price for everything just requires a ton of money, so then people are just given more money so they can buy basic stuff like food. This can lead to stuff like 1000 [Equivelent of Pounds or Dollars or whatever] Bills as the lowest form of currency. In Wynncraft, as more LE stacks have entered the server over time, the prices of stuff in general increase by a ton. Back in early 2014 the most expensive thing was a pumpkin, which could be a stack of LE. Now people are selling some mythics for 20 Stacks.

Another issue not pointed out yet was duping. That screws up the economy quite a bit by changing up prices and has always been considered harmful for the game.

Why not just decrease the amount coming in then? Or stop it? Make the emerald amount finite, based on the amount of players and just have it be exchanged?

because that would slow it down, not solve the problem that emeralds arent going away.

I mean if emeralds are going out, some emeralds will still have to come in. If we can get to a point where more emeralds are coming out then in we could return to reasonable item prices, and then just go back to trying to aim for equal in and out?

I mean if most come from quests, then sure, decrease the total from quests. But there's also the fact you can get an infinite amount of emeralds from other sources. What are the current ingame money sinks?

I mean if you decrease it enough so that more emeralds are going out than coming in, then wont it get to a stable point eventually? Then just increase emerald inflow a little so it's balanced between in and out

Horse gambling breeding, guild banners (as stated above), donating to your guild or spending emeralds on defenses, accidentally throwing things in lava/hoppers, shifty merchants, buying items and scrolls from merchants. Those are some of the things I can think of, but probably horses and guild banners are the biggest.

EDIT: Also identifying and rerolling items uses up some

So guild wars aren't a money sink? And horses aren't a money sink? Or legendary island, although small? What about merchants? Surely some?

Agreed. How much do you think on average a player spends (how many of their emeralds go out a week) for a high level, 80-100 range a week?
    ________________________________
Also what do you think a reasonable amount of LE for doing all quests would be? And what is the current?

with new mobs defenses (not complaining i love them) it barely cost 1 LE to defend fully, and dun fact, the most expensive guild defense barely takes 6LE, ig horses could be a money sink, but most people know that breeding is almost a complete scam, LI is barely a money sink unless youre @YYGAYMER, and ill agree, ive spent soo much money on things like pot merchants, scroll merchants and what not

I guess they could increase pot prices, and if they increase scroll prices i probably wont use one again lmao

im pretty sure the math adds up to like 100LE per 1-100

So not exactly an original idea, but what if you had to eat? Like IK Jbip has an awesome food thread, what if that could also be used as a system for obtaining food? Make food a constant necesity, make it so horses need it (travel would be harder and cost more money), could put more emphasis on scrolls then (then increase price of scrolls mb even for more money going out), so you and horses need food. Im sure more things could be thought of.
