Ceridwen would attempt infiltrate the mind of one of them and sift through their recent and oncoming thoughts. She’d linger around the street for a while longer, doing her best to look preoccupied.

 

Kayla freezes up before tucking her left hand in her cloak, summoning a fan, and disappearing turning invisible before running away down the street.

The fans are literally called Idolon. Latin for Wraith if you didn't know...

Shocked, Eliza walks away as calmly as she can. If she's learned anything, she's going to be the first person blamed.

The man looks down at the gun and chuckles.

The salesman continues to back off away from the stand.

The man that Ceridwen mind reads is only reciting one thing over and over again in their head.

The man is not thinking of anything else, has no other emotions, thoughts, etc.
Something was wrong here.

As Kayla turns invisible, the grip on her shoulder tightens.
Suddenly, there's a burst pain in her chest and left arm causing her to drop the fan and turn visible (I don't know what her fans do so correct me if I'm wrong).
The person let's go of her shoulder but the pain is still there and Kayla can't seem to move.
The figure bends down and takes the fan examining it.
"You're more interesting then what meets the eye Marksman."
It's a woman's voice.
A witch.

The corpse is the owner of the building who also was the lead doctor. Male.
Eliza walks back out of the building onto the street only to find two people dressed in high official clothing and brandishing guns.
Sherifs... or people pretending to be sheriffs.
"' 'cuse me lady. We have to get in the building," the one to your left says.

 

Close the distance slowly, standing behind bystanders. Looking at it out of curiosity.

 

"That's great!"
"Can you please do me a favor?.."
"And shoot me?"
Offer out a smile that dealt with too much.
