Rp - Gavel's Darkest Hour- Act Two Begins [7/7]

I try and see if there is anyone still outside.

 

About 8:30 in the evening

A small flat sheet with an unusually high amount of active plant mana is there - some sort of magical scroll, probably teleportation.

The soldier stops. "Uh, what? What is it, sir? I will help!"
"What? You fucking idiot, he just tried bluffing, and suddenly you fall for it? I'll be reporting this to my superiors."
"What, I was just, asking for uh, an explanation."
"You shouldn't fucking need one."
They seem to be distracted for now.

A young dwarf girl sits alone on a doorstep, staring at what's visible of the twilight sky through the ash. Aside from that, the area seems to be deserted.

Walk over to Rin and put a hand on her shoulder.
"Hey, are you okay?" I take a deep breath.

 

I walk towards the dwarf.
”Sorry, where is northwest?”

 

She points towards the away from the centre of the city and towards the volcano that started it all.
"That way. Are you a Gert? I've read about you in my storybooks. I want to be a Gert someday."

 

Use my axe to cut my ropes, then turn around and run away into an area with lots of hiding places.

 

Slipping your right hand out of your incomplete bindings and reaching into your backpack, you take out your modified pickaxe and try to use it to cut your bindings, but it's too blunt - you did have to leave the lava before you could fully sharpen it. The argument continues,
"Look, maybe you should have been more, uh, clearer?"
"I was perfectly fucking clear. Now let's finish tying this guy up and get back to Manifis."
The argument seems to be at a close, and you're still tied up. Your legs are free, though, so you could still run away.

 

How difficult is it for me to get there?
(Like where is it in accordance to me too.)

"I'm fine."

 

Run

 

"Look, uhm." I let the air out in a sigh. "I know we were supposed to protect Doushoins, and we couldn't and all that happened..." Start sobbing. "But I'm glad it wasn't you."
Lift my other arm in an invite to a hug.

 

"Hm."
I don't go for the hug. I'm busy looking out onto the ground.

 

You're two floors up, and the river gorge extends about twenty metres down below the ground floor. The gorge is ten metres across, and the slope is rocky and very steep - though climbing it might be possible. There's a small ledge between the palace and the gorge, similar to the one you were stuck on on the way in.

You run past the two Doguns, who immediately stop their argument and give chase. You're not very familiar with the location, but you know you could go back to the centre of the city, make a beeline for the Dwarves, or try to lose them in the residential areas - though of course there's the risk of the same thing happening again.

I point at the area where the scroll is.

I let the arm hang down and press her shoulder slightly. "I just wanted to let you know."

I look over to where she is pointing.
"I, I can't. I don't have the energy." I wipe a tear.

 

Which area is closer?

 

"Hm."

How much mana is he at? And how much is needed to put him at half, 3/4 and full?

"Do you still need a hug?"

 

I wipe another tear.
"Yeah."

He's at very low mana, it would take about a third of your own to get it back up to those kinds of levels.

You're still in the servants' corridor in the palace with Hels and Rin. You've sort of been standing there while they've been talking to each other.

You're in the residential areas right now, but they're easy to get lost in. The dwarves are a bit farther away and it's a bit more of a difficult journey, and you know the way back to the centre of town. However, the rest of the Dogun party are probably that way too, so you'd have to avoid them.

 

I turn to you an open up my arms.

Once he hugs me, I'll spend enough mana to place him at about 3/4.
