I walk over to Remfir
”Do you know about accomplice of scroll thief?”

 

She talks down into her drink, not looking up. "Oh, those two? Were hiding out in a tower for a bit - we saw them leave. They made it to Dogun territory before we could stop them. Apparently too chicken to them further."

"Ozoth already hates us. Why do you think she left? But in that case, it would be far more merciful of us to kill you on the spot."

You can still find no trace of the assassin. Footsteps begin coming up the stairs.

 

I get up and nod my head. "We can try"

 

*waits silently*

 

*Use flash burst and run out using the lava wing*

 

I use my cloak to stay unnoticed in case it's the assassin

 

”Where is dogun territory? I not dwarf. I can get in dogun land.”

 

Again, you see the weaknesses of that spell when used on groups. Three of the seven Doguns are blinded, but the remaining ones are completely fine and start chasing after you.

are you sure about the lava wing? You're outside now, there's no need, and a Dogun is way better adapted to high temperatures than you are.

"Well, most places up here are Dogun territory, but they went towards that town. Manifis, was it? Anyway, northwest of here."

You slip behind the other open door (the cloak isn't going to help if you're standing in the middle of a narrow corridor), and Elimut comes back, looking very annoyed. He struts straight past you and towards the broken window.

 

You know you're the magic battery here right?

I crawl down my vines and help Rin if needed. Then I walk over to the Bantisu box and try to make the same vines again

That kinda means I can't do much (like fricken climbing) without help. .-.

You make your way carefully down the vines, below Rin to catch her if she falls, and do the same thing at the Bantisu box. They're a lot sparser than ideal, but you manage to climb them and pull Rin up the rest of the way. You stand on the empty box, out of breath. The door is open, the lock has been destroyed by a spell. You hear footsteps going up a nearby staircase.

 

Seeing its Elimut I come out and say "My guess is he either cast vanish and snuck out using the window as a distraction or jumped in the river"

Not terribly fast, but with all your heavy items they're faster than you.

No, he climbed down under you from the Coalition box, then walked across the room and pulled you up to the Bantisu box.

"What happened after I jumped down?" I try to sit up and maybe pull myself up if I still have energy
