Presummably, the explosion takes place since you see the golden ring effect from Fiery Destruction appear on the statue.

Suddenly, all the ice seems to melt and the water drains back into the floor... where there’s holes in the wall for the water to drain and shit.

Everything in the room is now wet... wow but at least not underwater.

The griffin statue uh... sinks into the floor.... well more of the floor underneath it is an elevator.

The floor comes back up without the statue. The candles flicker back to gold.
