Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Ted yelps, already taking up nearly all of the gooped hand.

“That hardly matters when you fabricate a corpse. It comes as energy, fades as energy.”

Anne nods.
“Well... I can lift the mattress up, I can’t really help with the sheet.”

 

The giant springs forward, barreling forward into the guard.

 

"Then you're moving into the realms of spiritual golemancy." The figure says.

 

“Why is it called spiritual golemancy if it doesn’t involve spirits?”

You practically crush him as you both hit the ground, though his armor probably left a bruise on your torso.

 

"It can involve them, but it's not a requirement." The figure says.

 

"You just have to make sure that it doesn't get lose when I put it around the mattress."

 

“Fair.”
Pause.
“You know, I’ve never had an immortal come up to me and not try to kill me.”

“Yeah, I can manage that.” She nods, telekinetically lifting the mattress.

 

The giant awkwardly rises, not using his Ted hand, and stamps the guard beneath him with his foot.

 

You get grazed by an arrow that was deflected off a guard’s armor as you stomp, the guard on the ground coughing up blood.

 

"I rarely interact with the living mortals." The figure says in response, shrugging.

 

The giant doesn't seem to mind the arrow, stomping on the guard's torso once more.

 

“When I first saw you, I thought I was going to have to fight off another god of death thinking that it’s my time. I’m almost ashamed of how much blood this lance has seen... and how many seals it’s broken.”

He heaves blood once before going completely limp, Ted growling at something behind your back.

 

The giant pivots, then thrusts his other leg downwards to kick whoever might be approaching in the legs.

 

"Your soul is not mine to claim. I can do nothing more than reward you for your positive efforts." The figure says.

 

"Thank you."

He puts the sheet around the corner of the mattress and makes his way to the next corner.

 

"Good. I saw what happened to the remnants of my sister... I just wish I could've claimed her body. She belongs in Oblivion, no matter how much she tries to redeem herself."

Anne... sort of helps, mostly just preventing you from pulling out a corner as you make the bed.
Once you finish, she puts the mattress back on the bedframe, sheet held down.

You wind up stomping on an imp, but its spiked armor hurts you about as much as you hurt it, sans dying.

 

"Alright. Now for the blankets."

He grabs the blankets and lays them down on the bed.
"They're pretty big."

 

"I'm fine with my fur, you just wrap yourself up in however many you want." Anne says, curling up on a pillow.

 

"Oblivion?" The figure asks.

 

"It's... hard to explain. Think of it like something between a heaven and a hell, but emptier and with nobody to oversee it."
