Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The detonation knocks the ceiling down, the blast not very concussive and pushing you forward slightly.

“I have a request involving that dagger anyways.”

 

"What would that be?" Shadow Stephanie asks, adjusting her crown.

 

The giant lands on a knee, protecting Ted, and immediately gets back up to catch up with Erre and the dryad.

 

“The Chronoseum has been tried and tested. I’ve heard of your strength; I want to see it myself.”

“How ironic.” Erre chuckles.
“Would you take something seriously for once?” The dryad growls.
“No; not yet, at least.”

 

"I'm not really in the mood for fighting right now." Shadow Stephanie says, gesturing to her royal attire.

 

Sivius nods.
“When you’re in the mood to test yourself, there’s a challenger waiting. For now... I think I need to catch up with someone. How’s the sufferings of royalty?”

 

"Aj and Artemis are down, Stephanie is still healing, Eve is doing her own thing and a stack of paperwork refuses to reduce its size." Shadow Stephanie explains.

 

"Damn. They beat me to my own idea."
The giant shakes his head, rolling his shoulders.
"Are you good, Ted?"

 

“Emerald did say your guards were bad liars...” Sivius mutters.

He tilts his head at you, unsure.
“He seems fine. Already dumb, what’s a few more IQ points off ‘im?” The dryad asks, still annoyed.

 

"As long as nobody gets in without permission and information doesn't get out." Shadow Stephanie shrugs, pulling out a book and checking it, before putting it back.

 

“I feel like trying to hide the fact that two powerful people are injured in the middle of a war is sort of petty.”

 

"He's a dog, alright."
The giant scratches him on the head.
"Let's pick up the pace?"

 

"If word gets out the king of Shadows and his partner are in a critical state, enemies might use it against us." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

Ted closes his eyes, content.

“Yeah, yeah.” The dryad nods, pushing forward.

Erre’s sphere of no-smoke seems to be starting to shrink.

“Do you not trust Emerald?”

 

"Of course I trust Emerald." Shadow Stephanie says, sounding offended.

 

"Hey, Erre, how're you keeping this up?"
The giant asks as he continues forward.

 

“That’s exactly how she felt.” Sivius says, flat-faced.

“Inner mana. Starting to run a bit low.” He says. “Already noticable?”

 

"A bit... could use some circlets right about now."
The giant grumbles the last bit to himself.

 

"Good night, Siln."
And we walk away.

 

The dome shrinks even more.
"That'll last longer."
"Just don't choke, and don't make that dog do... the smoke thing."

He waves once as his friend stirs slightly.

Anne hops off your shoulder and walks alongside you, the sun now completely under the horizon.
"Well, to Rema's?"
