Are you talking about Gambler?

If so, with Gambler it was one of, if not the most badly-designed item in the entire game. Honestly. Not only because it basically nullified the need to really worry about defenses, but it's only actually useful if you get extremely good rolls on it. I know it's what the item is based around, gambling for good IDs, but it was just so, so poorly implemented...

 

So we're just gonna ignore that it's reqless mana steal with a great amt of life steal for a ring? And that you can wear two?

 

Pandemonium already has that title.

At least Pandemonium can be laughed at, Gambler was just stupid.

 

Honestly, all items are a gamble. Take Cataclysm for instance, if you get -6.5k it's basically useless, even in a statue build. Same for plenty of other items; the one stat you need isn't high enough? then find another better one. I don't like the concept because that's how the entire system is set up already. Gambler just said 'why not go even further?' and put something too powerful into a requirement-less rare ring (pardon the alliteration lol).

I felt the same. Gambler made sense, but cascade was like "wtf, that thing barely scratched other high end wands".

Exactly, the intent is where it fell short. It may accomplish the goal of the item, but the goal has been proven trash at best. Stellar is a great example of what it *should* have been given the extremely high stat requirements. Rather than degrade the entire point of having a rainbow build and maximizing all elemental defenses, Pandemonium throws out the concept of logic and swaps in meager damage boosts. There's no SP boos, there's not enough damage boost, and it strips the player of defenses, both in terms of elemental and raw HP (plus -LS).

It's meant to be used with prisms, stellar, gravity, libra, all morph, capri, and other rainbow items without being OP or completely useless. it gives a significant damage boost at the cost of defenses, hp, hpr, -LS, -MR, and -elemental damage. I slashed the -elemental defenses from -200 to -80, added more -defense % and buffed the damage. This allows the brace to be used effectively for damage boosting while also reducing the consistency of damage by removing mana regen and making an interesting pick for hybrid builders, as it gives great mana steal at the cost of very high amounts of life steal. Very interesting and keeps the characteristic High Requirements and Low Defenses.

The item with the most stats that I could find was Freedom with 16 stats but most items are between 7 and 13. My changes would give Pandemonium 29 stats ;)

That also excludes the 2 extra elemental defenses and requirements above the stats.

Besides, only the first nineteen stats would be of great importance to the item's usability anyways ;)
