Guess The Word / Word Chain

(This thread is going to die really quickly, isn't it?)
Okay, this is probably going to sound confusing if I don't explain it. So first, here are the instructions.

I will start a word chain, and everyone will be aiming to guess a single word (or two! Might be hyphened, too.) from a hint I've given.
Word chain rules are: your word must begin with the last letter of the word the person above has posted.
Words do not have to be related to the hint given, and sabotaging by giving a hard-to-chain word is allowed.
One cannot post twice in a row, and all words must be nouns.
No proper nouns shall be used, and informal versions of words are allowed.
All words must be equal to or above three letters. However, all correct answers to the hints will be equal to or above four.
Words may be repeated.
Hints can only be given out by the original poster.
Every 10 posts, you may tag me for a hint.
If someone gets the word before you, or you post at the same time, the winner is the person who posts first.
Wins will be kept up to date on this main post.
There will be 5 words to guess per day, starting from Day Two. (Managing this thread is a legitimate challenge.)

Unfortunately, there is a limitation to this game, as I won't be online all the time. Thus, I won't be able to answer straightaway when someone gets the right answer. So, I encourage all to keep guessing until I reply with a confirmation that someone has gotten the correct word.

An example of how the game should play out is this:

P1: Apple.
P2: Elegance.
P3: Echidna.
P2: Acne.
P3: Emotion.
P1: Nap.
P3: Pec.
P2: Crab.
GM: Player 2 has guessed the word. Next hint coming up. A blue, solid object.

Any questions can be asked, but any posts on this thread must also include a guess/chain. You can play to simply chain, or actually try guessing the word.

First hint, we'll start off easy: A large land animal.

I see we have a bit of confusion on our hands. You must begin your word with the final letter of the last person's guess. I'm sorry if it wasn't clear, it was likely my fault. I'll add that to the main post.
