Not resourcepack, that's for sure. I was just trying to find the mod.

Pretty sure it has to do with being in third-person mode. Need confirmation though.

I thought that to but there is still a hotbar shown so its not /gm 3, I don't have a clue what else it could be.
a wild gess would be some kind of replay mod were the nametags are shown

The MC nameplates are 2D. When it comes to displaying text in a 3D environment this is the oldest trick in the book. The nametags are actually angled to directly face the viewer at a certain point, usaly at the camera level so it looks like a solid, perfect rectangle. The viewer managed to get the camera above the point that the nametags are directed at. and that creates the slanted effect. Moving the camera around in 3rd person move dose this in some of the older versions of the game I think

...I don't know if any of that is going to make sense to anyone, but it is all about camera angles.

They don't angle towards the camera, they angles towards what we would consider his head. Look at the picture again, Notice that the slant is at different angles as you go further away from the center. This is all just my guess, I've actually made a few small games myself using unity and this appears to be a camera direction deal. What is causing this, I'm not sure. It might be an older version of the game or mod trickery. I'm just trying to shed light on why the effect happens.

Go in F5 mode. The nametags angle with the camera. And I don't believe it's an older veraion of the game.

So you're going to revive a month-old discussion to contribute nothing? That's called a necropost.
