Rp - Gavel's Darkest Hour- Act Two Begins [7/7]

You try to focus your mana at a roof a few metres in front of her, and release. Surprisingly enough, it works. You end up just in front of her. Only when she sniggers do you realise that your robes didn't teleport with you.

You focus your mana at the other side of the river and release. You end up most of the way across, waist deep in lava. Bantira claps and wades in to greet you.

As you leave, an Obisidian taps on your shoulder as he heads back away, his head drooping.

 

"well looks like im getting better at this..."

"lets get going then."

 

"Well this is awkward" I say while blushing a bit "so why are you trying to escape?" I try to act like everything is fine

 

She puts an arm round your shoulder and walks over to the tower. "Nobody here", she says. "Shall we go in?"

A substantial portion of the busy streets are staring. The Dogun runs away, now heading for the South gate. You see out of the corner of your eye a villager take your robes and run off with them. The guard chases after him.

 

My ticket being in the robes I try to find a fast way down while not hurting myself

 

Did my claryvoicance detect him taking any thing?
Either way I follow him

 

"I guess. Do you know how to get back to Grinefez from here?"

 

No. He hasn't stolen anything. He soon leads you to the curiosities shop, which he unlocks and opens. It seems this is the man who sold you the ring and is supposed to know about treasures. He takes a sack off his back and invites you inside.

Looking down you see a market stall that seems to be selling souvenirs. Sliding down it and damaging it slightly, you run off after the guard and the thief, a considerable crowd following. The Dogun runs off out of your sight. The guard tackles the thief ahead of you, but crowds are blocking your path to him.

She opens the door. Sure enough, it seems to be an abandoned Dogun settlement. "The shortest way is through the old dragon breeding grounds. But they're pretty angry at us and it's probably safest in the evening. We could take a detour, though, but it's a lot of walking and it's probably faster just to wait."

 

I push through the crowd to get my robes

 

"alright, lets just take it easy for now."
I wonder if the headmaster's ok
kind of cold for her to just ditch us like that though...although i guess we kinda ditched her too...

 

"So you know about treasures, tell me all about them"

 

"Don't dwell on it," Bantira says. "There's nothing we could have done to help. If I've learned anything about her, she'll find a way."

"Ah yes. There's plenty around here yet to be found. Of course there's the Eye of Garahah. But there are many smaller treasures around. I'm afraid I'm not aquainted with the preferences of dragons. Have you considered... asking one? There are plenty on the surface."

You struggle through the crowd. Most of them are laughing or whistling at you. As you get close you hear a familiar voice, "So that idiot thought ditching clothes altogether was the best solution to a bit of water? Brilliant. Thanks for taking me, though we really should get back to the palace."

Dermit. Thought that would be obvious.

I look at him and say sarcasticly ''Nice to see you again'' i go after my robes

 

"Depends if the dragon wants to bite my head off for being in their land. So tell me more about the eye and what special powers it has."

 

You can't actually see him, but you shout that in his general direction and push past to get the robes. The guard is tying the villager's hands together, and multiple people in the crowd are standing on the robes.

"Generally, dragons are suspicious and unfriendly but not openly aggressive, though I can't guarantee that. You'll have a better time than a Dogun would, that's for sure. Anyway, the Eye of Garahah. A large volcanic gem said to be of divine origin. Very few had the opportunity of seeing it and its powers are seamlessly blended with the myths they inspired. A fascinating story."

 

i try to go after the robes pushing everyone off of them

 

You push people off the robes, with varying success. You manage to mostly loose them when the guard orders everyone back. You finally manage to free the robes. Two emeralds fall out of the pockets.

 

I pick them back up and put on the robes and check if the ticket is still in them
